I had booked this hotel, had a confirmation, and come to find out on the night that I was to arrive, it was canceled. To be sure we would have a room, knowing that we might not check in until after midnight, I stopped to check in around 2 pm I was told that we could not check in until 3 pm.
I gave them my name, so he knew I still needed the room. I missed a call at 9:11 pm (left an unintelligible VM) and when I called back, I was told my room was no longer available. I called the Wyndham Garden back and asked if he had rooms available and he said NO. Again, I aired my frustration with the fact that our reservation was no longer available and how can you just CANCEL a confirmed reservation and think that by leaving me a 13 second unintelligible voicemail to be acceptable (at 9:13 pm) on the night of my reservation. So, he then proceeds to say to me, well, I do have a room that is an upgrade that you can stay in if you would like. But, I was not to tell anyone. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Would I stay at this hotel now? I would rather drive the 6 hours home in the middle of the night than stay here.
