It was pretty nice. Me and my husband went around 4 hours early and we couldn’t checkin but they took our luggage so we could walk around. It was close to restaurants so that makes everything easy for us. Good location. I would definitely come back.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The font desk staff was phenomenal. Particularly, Q. She has both professional and personal bar which makes for a great interaction.
Perfect location for our visit. Our room was very spacious and furnished perfectly! Thankful the valet attendants were understanding and allowed us multiple trips back to our vehicle. Loved the overall feel of this hotel. The breakfast was expensive for the food available on the buffet... but that is the only negative thing I have to say. We would definitely stay here again!
This is a very nice hotel in a great location. Staff is helpful and professional. My problem is with their hidden fees. They advertise overnight parking for $52 but there is an "amenity fee" of $25. All that plus taxes add up to about $90 per night.
I like the breakfast place with options even the whole day, even though I did not use it. Also the happy hour a bit early 3 pm, would like more like 5-7 because at 3 you are probably out in your own business, that I have the chance to use however. Room was excellent, ample and lots of space to relax and work. In view of the virus, I would recommend to sanitize the TV control, phone, and tables in the room, a lot of precaution is never enough in these situation. Thanks for everything.
It was close to just about anything we needed. Staff was great. Bartender was awesome.

Flott beliggenhet, men et noe slitt hotell
Fantastisk beliggenhet i byen.
It was fine. No room service and no bar open on Sunday evenings are negatives but the staff are very helpful and friendly. Doormen and servers in breakfast room were particularly great.
Location is good
The Fairfax is a genteel property in a fabulous location. I loved it. I love the wall paper, the carpeting, the art. The staff is super nice and responsive. I would say there are a couple of little things...there was caulking dried on the tub floor, little things like that which I'm only mentioning as a hotel reviewer. My husband and I both know we will stay here again!
My only suggestion would be to install plugs for mobile phone charging on a bedside table. I had to unplug the clock. Otherwise, it was elegant and perfectly located for the event we attended.
The property was historic and well preserved. There were a few unfinished patches in the ceiling, and the rooms were understandably small, but very nice.
I liked the location and the restaurant in the hotel. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff members were not always focused on the guests.

Disliked: Amenities
Receptionist charged extra $25.00 for room wi-fi, water and kettle coffee.
But I didn't see water and kettle at room.
When I reserved this hotel from your web page, It says wi-fi is free.
Wonderful!!!! Great service and great food.Centrally located on dupont circle.Leave the car parked and walk!

Just your basic hotel. More of that old classical feel. But my room was outdated. TV was old and the picture quality was crap. Room had dust on the phone and lamps. Carpet was old and had randomly patched pieces lol
