"This was our first visit to Santa Barbara. Apparently there are no big hotel chains in the wharf - downtown area. We chose the Brisas not really knowing what to expect, but it turned out to be a wonderful weekend stay. Our room was clean and comfortable, and MOST IMPORTANTLY--the MOST comfortable bed we have ever slept on in a hotel room, ever! The mattresses are plushy, the bedding is soft and comfortable, and the pillows are not crappy down pillows--they stay fluffed all night. Aside from the amazing beds, the hotel itself was lovely too. Happy hour with free wine and cheese every afternoon, a complimentary continental breakfast (the frittata with a bit of salsa was terrific), and a very friendly front desk staff who had a printout of my reservation ready to go as soon as I arrived. I think check-in might have been 30 seconds, which is way more efficient than any big hotel chain. Location was fantastic too--walking distance to the wharf and downtown. We were on a Highway 101 roadtrip and stopped in Santa Barbara for 2 nights. It was so nice to be out of the car and Brisas made our stay so much nicer. Thanks so much to this hotel!"

"My wife and I upgraded to a larger room. The room was light and bright, but the bed was way too soft, and the room is along the main roadway, which made it quite loud. I shared this concern with the front desk staff and they were kind enough to reduce one night parking fee of $40. In our travels we feel that this room was fairly overpriced. I would have to think again about whether we would stay at this establishment in the future.."

"We arrived at the tail end of the wine & cheese reception -- an unexpected treat! We were able to utilize the pool/ hot tub before going to sleep and had it all to ourselves. The location was most excellent for our needs. The breakfast in the morning was very satisfying. I'd go back again!"

"Hotel Santa Barbara truly unique! The design detail impresses, then all the unexpected luxury treats - the in room speciality coffee & tea service, the good quality water bottle supported by the top end refill station. The hydration station also provided ice individually packed in ziplocks bags, stored in freezer drawers - lots of thought went into this simple service point to make it special. The room beautifully decorated, perfect temperature control system, great lighting with tree lined avenue views. Amenities good quality and home grown . The bar is perfectly located we were so impressed with the barman, he understood our special requests and remembered them ! He was attentive and offered classical bar service. The location absolutely perfect, we wish we had longer at the Hotel Santa Barbara, job well done congrats to the Owners & Management. Thank you"

"The staff was SUPER friendly and professional. The parking lot could use some extra lighting in the far back. But my overall experience was amazing! The bed was super comfortable. I loved that every room had a balcony (that I saw). The shower head had great pressure! Room was clean with cute decor! I felt secure and safe in my room. Super close and easy to get on and off the hwy. Breakfast was delicious! I wasn’t ready to leave back to the real world again. I’d 100% stay here again."
