"Rooms were really comfortable and spacious! Casino was nice. If you are non-smoker the non-smoking area for gambling is nice. More machines in the non-smoking area than smoking area. They do not offer late check out at all past 11am so know that. Restaurant was great. Pool looks fun, just didn't get a chance to go enjoy pool this time. Love that the riverwalk takes you to a few more casino/hotels within walking distance!!"

"The room was good. Bed was comfortable with nice linens. I was not impressed with the $75.00 pet fee. A bit extreme. Plus, they took a $100.00 deposit which we won’t get back until after the access the room condition. The sink and tub did not drain very well. It was ok otherwise. "

"I would strongly caution families and anyone traveling with children before staying at The New Pioneer. We stayed here while attending a wrestling tournament and the experience was awful from beginning to end. The bathroom had dead roaches, the room conditions were disappointing, and the environment was not family friendly at all. The only way to access the hotel restaurants was by walking through the casino, which was filled with heavy cigarette smoke. It was overwhelming and absolutely not suitable for children. The worst part was after checkout. I booked through Expedia and was told my debit card would only be used for a $100 incidental deposit. The next morning I found additional charges totaling around $460 on my card. When I called the hotel, I was accused of “tampering with smoke detectors” and told I was blacklisted. This accusation was completely false. I never touched a smoke detector and honestly didn’t even notice where one was located. I was barely in the room except to shower and sleep because we spent most of our time at the wrestling tournament. No proof, photos, documentation, or explanation was provided before charging my card. Very disappointing experience overall. Definitely would not recommend for families, especially those traveling for youth sports"

"I have never in my adult life had to wait for over an hour in line to check into a hotel. Total wait time at Laughlin River Lodge was nearly 2 hours. Absolutely ridiculous. The check in process was inefficient and, when coupled with only three staff members to process dozens of guests, an absolute nightmare. Room was okay and seemed clean."

"The property was clean but the rooms a little dirty not as clean as they were before. They need to put coffee and microwaves in the rooms especially for the senior and handicapped guest. Overall we had a good stay."
