“Check in was super easy and fast. It's nothing special but all I needed was a clean quiet place to sleep for the night and that's what I got.”

“Cute property for a night or 2. Nice little bar and coffee shop attached. Check-in is a little different, no one is here you just have an envelope. No one for checkout. If quiet is what you seek then this may not be the place for you. You can hear kids running the halls and cars pass outside. Rooms are excellent and big. Bed is nice, bring your own pillows. AC in the room kept up with our polar bear needs. I’d say again for another 1 night trip. ”

“Big Horse Inn is a hidden gem in this part of Illinois. It is perfectly located, close to Dickson Mounds (great hiking trails), Emiquon National Wildlife Refuge, and the Illinois/Spoon River area. The room was spacious and the bed was comfy. Self check-in could not have been easier.
