“We stayed at 13 different hotels over 14 nights. Several of them were good, some of them were quite good. None of the 12 that were not Publick House compared to Publick House. That's not idle talk. Public House was just as charming as could be. I love old architecture. Main building was built in 1750. Our breakfast, from the "bake shop," sets the bar for delicious pastries. Really. And the staff were super. They smiled, not out of required obligation, so far as one could tell, but...

“The staff was helpful, friendly. Nice location. The room was very clean and quiet, but so much of the place is brown. Brown carpet, brown paneled walls, brown chair, brown furniture, brown lamps. A minor detraction, but I look at hotel decor with a discerning eye and I like things to be less bland/mundane.”

“I enjoyed my stay in The Clark Suite. Very easy check in and helpful staff. West Stockbridge is a quaint town, easy to walk about and wonderful dinner/ice cream options. The Shaker Inn provided Gluten Free options for breakfast including fresh oj, fruit and great coffee. The room/bathroom were immaculate. The bed was very comfortable. Thank you for a wonderful stay. ”
