Pros: Great location and a beautiful view, reasonably priced. Cons: Strict AirB&B style check out rules, A/C won't go below 70, which for July is still hot to sleep in

My daughter and I were doing a college tour of the Great South. We booked this property from Expedia the day of. We arrived to find that this was not a hotel but a condominium being rented out as a short term rental. So there was no reception desk. The address given was for a retail store and there was very little signage to identify it. After the wonderful interaction with a resident of the building she let us know about the check in protocol. After searching numerous emails and texts we found a contact number with the manager who directed us through the process. There was no parking on the premises and we had to unload our vehicle. Bring our luggage into the condo then go to a parking garage that was a few blocks away. After arriving, we needed to use the pull out couch but could not find any linens for it. Another call to management and he directed me to travel to the sixth floor to get the linens for the pull out couch. After all was said and done it took us approximately over an hour to get settled in. The downtown location on the river is wonderful! A short walk to everything beautiful Wilmington has to offer. The sunset was spectacular! We had a great walk and located so many great choices in restaurants to have dinner at. When it was time for bedtime the bedroom has the loudest AC blower that sounded like a dragon breathing fire! I went to sleep but by 3 am I could no longer bare with it and turned off the AC only to wake up sweaty! Sticking to hotels from now on!

Nice facility. Not too hard to check in the first time. Unit was great, but as a business traveler, I need more light. Bedroom was very dark. For the love of all that is holy…..please put a $10 air cylinder on the lobby door. Excellent area with plenty to do.

Perfect location for us. Amazing water view with the battleship in the background. The door has a hole drilled through it above the handle so anyone could see into the condo, so that should be filled. Otherwise a perfect place. I would stay here again.

Great location! Walkable to bars and restaurants. Perfect for a weekend getaway for a couple. Couch, not made for sitting, makes into an additional bed, however not room for 4 people. Internet was very spotty, comes and goes.

Just fine for 1-2 people to stay in. The bedroom is small and there isn’t any room for a dresser, so nowhere to unpack clothes. The living area is comfortable with a nice view. The area around the condo is loud, however, on the weekends late into the night and you can hear it in the bedroom. Otherwise, it was in a walkable area and close to many places to eat. Very clean, but you have to do half the cleaning before you leave.

Will Stay Again

We have stayed with this group before so we knew what to expect. The condo was very clean, the furniture (and bed) was comfortable. The kitchen had the few necessities we needed for our stay. The only issues we encountered were that the remote in the bedroom had dead batteries, and that there were not 2 bedside tables in the bedroom so we had to improvise by using our cooler. Overall, not big issues. It was kind of dark coming back to our condo at night at the end of the hall because several lights were out. We will stay again.

So I’m rating this condo 5 stars because it is so clean, so luxurious and has an outstanding view! It really makes you feel as if you’re staying in the penthouse suite of a celebrity! I normally might have taken one star away because it doesn’t have onsite parking but everything else makes up for that inconvenience. If you’re visiting Wilmington to walk around the town you can park your car in the garage and forget about it. Everything is in walking distance.

Not bad but not great

The look on the door is very frustrating. We tried to follow instructions but it was very finicky. The proximity to the Ironman race and restaurants was fanstastic. The kitchen is very small if you plan on cooking in it. The place needs some minor TLC that would go a long way.

Started off Expedia so read everything it was additional sales tax and security deposit would not have been bad except the attitude of the property owner or manager. View great location great . Just note there is only 1 spoon no paper towels no oven strange two burner stove top so cooking is limited ice trays in freezer one small dish towel. Other than the kitchen the unit was fine

This condo is directly across from the USS North Carolina battleship and the view from the balcony is wonderful. It is very conveniently located in downtown Wilmington. There is a wide array of great dining options, all walkable, a beautiful waterfront, easy access to parking and awesome communication from the owner. My stay was on Friday night and there was a considerable amount of noise (sirens, noisy neighbors and people yelling on the streets) that I did not expect. I would like to see the front door better secured (the traditional handle and lock do nothing so the door seems flimsy when closed (can still see daylight through a closed door).

the check in is quite complicated. I booked this more than 2 months before the check in, at first they give me with a link which does not link. Then when when it was about 3 days, they were asking for our IDs, they gave us this litany of text messengers with all the instructions… we are driving, we have to catch up with our itineraries. If you just gave me the instruction ahead of time i should have memorized the code, by heart, delayed us. Then at the day of the check out you gave us this instruction. man we are already out. FYI the parking is 2-3 blocks away. The only saving grace are the mattress and the view. in the future i will see to it that i will be booking a hotel.

Nice, but could have been cleaner

This is the 2nd time we stayed in this unit. The 1st time was perfect, but this time, there was popcorn all over the living room floor, the bathrooms were not very clean & the furniture throughout the unit was very dusty. It appears no one has stayed in this unit for quite a while. The 6 remote controls in living room also is confusing & frustrating. Internet was good. For the cost of this unit & the cleaning fees, we expected a much cleaner unit. Also, the hot water needs to be turned up. The water was not hot. Parking is almost 2 blocks away but we walked everywhere.Location is fantastic and so is the view from the balconies.
