SpringHill Suites Savannah Downtown / Historic District

"Check-in was easy. Room was as expected. Room was fine but “well-worn”. This is a well used property because of its location but they need to keep that in minds. Things like door handles being loose, wall thermostat not working, phone not working, elevator not working correctly. The pool was closed on the only night we wanted to use it. Breakfast was good - comparable to other properties. Lobby was in nice condition. It’s not as worn as the rooms are. Great location and friendly staff. All soaps in the shower which are locked against the wall were almost out (as they are pretty much everywhere we ever stay). So we had to call down to get more. It never came so we had to go down to the front desk to get more. We don’t have an issue with it being locked down in general but it should be on the housekeeping checklist to fill it to the top each and every room turn that way it never runs out on a guest. I’m positive that anyone at Marriott corporate would agree with that."

"This hotel is very nice, and our room with a balcony over looking the pool area was lovely. The lobby is lovely with a bar, nice sit down restaurant, and coffee and sandwich counter. It's located in a GREAT location walkung distance to many restaurants, chocolate shops, and fun sites. We walked to a wonderful breakfast restaurant called "Sunday Sunday", a beautiful historic church, and SCAG for a tour. However, we found staff to be less than helpful upon arrival which is super important. We were left to find and figure out how to get our bags into the hotel and navigate the lobby which was quite busy. Not a good first impression, but after that we were good."
