We enjoyed our stay at this motel. We registered online and picked up our key in an envelope taped on the outside of the office door. Room was relatively small and clean as expected, and was found to be relatively insulated from street traffic noise, which was easily heard when sitting outside along the access walkway. Room inside was as pictured in the add. Our two beds were as advertised, and the mattresses were relatively firm and comfortable. The separate bathroom was relatively spacious in view of the bedroom area, especially the shower, a real plus. Shampoo and body wash disperses in the shower were empty; however, shampoo and conditioner were provided separately along with a bar of soap, which I prefer as often these modern dispensers are difficult and wasteful in squeezing out what is actually needed. We called in advance to inquire using a barbecue as appearing available, and this was confirmed.

It’s OK for Kernville. There’s not much of a choice in the area and everything is about the same. Better than aren’t but it’s not a Hilton. No problems checking in or out.

Probably one of the dirtiest infested stay I have ever experienced...ok for a last min stop for solo traveller ,definitely not for fam or kids or unwind vacay Good:Located at very close proximity to lake and Kernville Bad: Very very unclean room...from cobwebs on all walls to pet hair on bedding...multiple insects in the room from cockroach to spider to other bugs Floor so unclean that even shoe soles got sticky... No one to even replace coffee cups even if you go to the office aaking for same aa no one in the office even at 9 am on Monday!

This is such a cute property. Quaint, even. Quiet, comfy and cozy. The bed was comfortable, the a/c worked well, and the room felt very large. The location was great. I would stay here again!

Super friendly staff and easy check in were a great start. But I really loved the big area in front of my room with a couple chairs to sit and relax in the shade and enjoy the lake view. This hotel sits back a bit from the street so that helps with Street noise. Also close to the limited markets and restaurants nearby. Cozy and comfortable bed with real soap shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom. Also a Keurig coffee maker was in the room to start my mornings right. I'd recommend this over some other places in town

The air conditioner worked and was quiet, plenty of parking, staff was friendly and attentive. The rooms have a nice view of the lake. The rooms are not fancy, but very comfortable and quiet. Call the manager before you arrive to make sure the manager will be in the office when you arrive.

Check in was pretty simple, with the key waiting outside. The outside of the place was peaceful and laid out in an inviting manner, with a decent view of the lake. We enjoyed the BBQ/sitting area just downhill from the room, which had its own chairs and small table for a quiet sit-down. The neighborhood was dead quiet on the weekend we stayed here. The room was a little rough around the edges but clean. (loose tile here and there, a loose transition between the bathroom area and living area, toilet would stick running without a helpful jiggle) The microwave worked fine, the Keurig was a nice touch, and the refrigerator could make ice out of lava. And the TV/Roku worked better than many setups I've seen in years of travel at more "pinky up" places like Vegas. Great appliances.... I'm a big guy, so the single bed was a tight fit for me but fine for my teenage son who's built like a drinking straw. Your mileage will vary. I'd go back for sure.

The towels were yellow and dingy and I felt very uneasy using it as I felt it’s unsanitary. The shower turn-on & off knobs were broken. A Clerk tried to fix it but was unsuccessful. She made me feel I caused it. I had to call her twice to have them fixed. It took a while for her to respond to the room to fix them. Finally after a while she decided to change my room. The TV remote did not work either!! The heater fan was so loud, I couldn’t sleep all night!!! It was just awful !! The room had no coffee in the newly changed room!!! The broken soap holder in the shower with nothing that I can see so I assume I get no shampoo, conditioner, or the body soap. After I got out of shower, I found the bottles on the kitchen area counter!!! The room was so cold so I had to put the heater on but the fan was so loud that I couldn’t sleep. I will not make a reservation at this hotel.

Nice little Inn.

Room was fine, with coffee maker, fridge and microwave. In-Wall Air conditioning was a little loud, but worked well. Inner shower curtain showed age at the bottom. Need was comfortable and TV offered live streaming TV and also apps with your own account. Free Wi-Fi worked well. No other amenities that we knew of and we never actually visited the main office. There's a small coffee shop down the road. The Wet Sport Bar was a fun experience. Kern River Brewing Company in town was good. There are more options in town. Overall it was good for a couple nights rafting on the river.
