The room was very small but clean but we couldn’t work out how to work the tv. We couldn’t get free to air channels and the subscription channels needed a login through our phone but we didn’t have any of the subscriptions. Also the train was close to the hotel and sounded its horns through the night that woke us up
Very clean room, modern ensuite and good quality towels. Large television and tea and coffee available in the room. Enjoyed our overnight stay - but there was a slight cigarette smoke smell upon occasion which wasn't so good.

The place was well set up. it was clean and tidy. Staff were very polite and helpful. Only the car park was too small. Patrons and visitors vehicles parked at the busy times can be an issue- too crowded. Otherwise all! thankyou EH
The staff were extremely helpful but the only thing was tv didn’t work properly, the bed could do with an upgrade and rooms were tiny apart from that it was great
The room was clean and the private bathroom was nice.
However, noting it’s above a very busy pub, I was awoken several times in the night with people yelling and laughing in the car park, just below my room.
Everything else was pleasant enough.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 5 Islands Hotel. We found the recently renovated rooms clean, very comfortable and well appointed. With temperatures reaching the mid to high 30 degrees outside the air-conditioning was a welcome respite after playing tourist during the day. The hotel is very centrally located and the rooms were well sound insulated to block the outside noise of the hotel and traffic. The cost of our room was very reasonable considering we were there during school holidays in early January. Parking was initally a bit tricky upon our arrival as the car park doubles as the public carpark for the hotel as well as parking foe guests. However, before opening and after closing times there was a good choice of parking spots to choose from. We would highly recommend 5 Islands Hotel as a moderately priced, comfortable and centrally located place to stay when visiting Wollongong. We will happily return in the future.
The room was in a quiet area, didn’t hear the shenanigans of the people in the hotel at all which was great. The bathroom was updated and clean. Unfortunately for us, the room had a strong smell of bleach which meant the fan had to be on 24/7 and the dust would stir as a result. The bed was a hard spring mattress which made it a little uncomfortable but otherwise the food was great and the hotel section was quiet and relaxing, even on a Saturday night.

This was the least expensive hotel i could find in Wollongong so it was pretty good for the money. Good shared bathroom. Great shower. Needs soap in the bathrooms. Bedroom small tidy but very smelly. I cleaned the remote control with a towel and it was very dirty. Water pipes very noisy. A lamp and a box of tissues would be good in the room. Staff were very nice. I went to get some milk and the young woman at the bar was straight onto it.
Clean room and the shared bathroom is cleaned as well. Comes with big TV, a fridge and a few drinks and tea bags so really can't complain. Very nice stay, will come again next time
The room got a horrible smoking smell. Legit they shouldn’t even be offering this room at all as it’s literally inhabitable for people with nasal conditions, not to mention if you have asthma you could probably pass out in it. Staff are ok but couldn’t help much. Amenities are great. Sufficient parking on site front and back of the hotel
