“We stayed for one night. Lovely lady on reception, polite, efficient and friendly. Beautiful room (we were given an upgrade), very spacious, clean, comfortable bed. Plenty of choice with tea, coffee, biscuits etc.
The toiletries were good quality. Lovely big bathroom.
The room was mega hot but there was a great fan so no problem. Would recommend. Great location too.”

“The property was basic, as expected, but the host's behavior was shockingly unprofessional and erratic. After honestly correcting a simple booking mistake (one guest instead of two) and promptly offering payment, the host initially seemed polite but slow to respond.
Things turned serious when I accidentally locked myself out of the bedroom—without shoes or phone—and urgently contacted him via my smartwatch. He claimed he'd arrive in an hour but vanished for hours, ignoring multiple calls....

“Another fabulous visit and wonderful stay. I would recommend a little light on the balcony table for late drinks. A few less spiders would have been better as well 😂. There was a table below very close to the balcony with people attending a wedding party including excited children. This did make the room less relaxing than hoped for. Apart from that the Abbey bells are lovely to wake up to, and the staff were very friendly as always.”
