“Really relaxed vibe and Jack was a great host. The ‘help yourself’ breakfast was a great idea and the little things like, have a bottle of water out of the fridge, went a long way. Room was clean, light and airy. Had everything you could possibly want eg posh coffee maker etc, bottles of water/fizzy drink. Jack made some lovely recommendations for places to see/eat/visit and we can highly recommend The Plough Inn and Jorvine too! Will return for another visit!”

“Only one criticism I have is about the parking .There are only 2 parking spaces at the B&B this only came to my attention when I had booked and received the welcome email/text .i was lucky while I was staying I managed to get one for the 3 days .Other than its a great place to stay very clean and well maintained .”

“The hotel is perfectly placed in the centre of York and easy to get to. The staff were lovely and were able to accommodate giving us a lower-level room, which was so helpful (especially when pregnant in a heatwave!). There were lots of options available in the mini bar as well as teas, coffees, etc. The room was very comfortable and clean - we will definitely return next time we come to York.”

“Lovely apartment in a historic building, ideally located just outside the city centre, but within easy walking distance of all places of interest in York. Nice touch of leaving a bottle of bubbly in the fridge - a good sign that the hosts are attentive. The apartment itself is well furnished and equipped, and really does feel like a home from home. Overall, thoroughly recommended.”
