Very friendly and helpful staff, simple and filling breakfast provided. Though a small hotel with a cafe, the room is cozy yet large enough for a whole family of 4-5 with all the amenities provided. It’s near the train station and a large 7-11 with surrounding good food and walking distance to all the places of interest. Although there’s no elevator, the staff had helped to bring up our luggage to the room as we explored Yufuin, since check in is after 4pm. Check out is very late though, till 5pm, hence it’s great for those who want to explore more or just make use of the onsen or lounge. Overall a very satisfying stay and highly recommended!

Such a great stay. The location is near to both the bus station and the train station. The room is very well equipped and clean. There is also a lounge where you can hang out during the stay. Check in staff was so nice and got us a room upgrade. Would definitely be back here when we visit Yufuin again

Great location and it’s super clean!

Really did not expect much coming into it. Originally we booked a onsen place which was old but big with 2 meals served. However, last minute changes, we ended up booking this place. I can only say it was such a nice surprise! Not only is the place clean, it is also very convenient!! This is literally a 2 minute walk from the train station. This is highly recommended for family traveling together. This place has hot spring as well!! What a neat and unique find!!

Beautiful, modern, very tastefully decorated property. The front desk attendee was very hospitable, a warm welcome to our first time in Yufuin! Gems is a minute walk from the station / bus stop, and is located centrally to Yufuin town. The walk to Kinrin lake was beautiful, with views of the mountain on the street. The room we booked was incredibly spacious, and although designed for 4, did not feel too empty for 2. The bathroom is so well done and so clean, with a huge bath tub that just invites a private soak. We would stay again next time!

Good point is very close to JR station. But terrible points are, no elevator, need to get heavy luggage upstairs, need to charge 1000 yen if you need to keep luggage there for a couple of hours after check out, hot spring bath available at limited time period , and the smell of the new wood in the room have give a bad day for those who are sensitive to smell, just like those people don’t smoke cannot tolerate smoking room. Think before you try provided the cost of stay is not cheap when compared with other hotels nearby.

After paying an absurd amount for one night, they charged an additional fee to store my bag for an hour. Ludicrous. I stay in hotels 50-60 nights per year for almost 30 years and I’ve never paid a fee for that service. Ludicrous. The food was mediocre at best. The staff was friendly enough but not empowered to waive the ridiculous bag fee.

飯店很新，整體住宿不錯。缺點是沒有停車場，附近有收費停車場，最便宜的停車場為一個晚上400日圓，需要走大概五分鐘才會到飯店。早餐適合外帶，方便趕行程的旅客用餐。
