The room excelent, the only thing is that the cleaning lady turned off my A/C when she made my room, and Chiquimula is extremly hot, so it takes more than 30 minutes to have a cool room”

Spreken alleen Spaans maar met handen, voeten en vertaalapp kom je een heel eind. Je krijgt hele grote porties eten (ook als voorgerecht) Minpuntje is de gehorigheid vd kamers en de koude douches. Als dat wordt aangepast krijgen ze van mij een dikke 8. ”

“The hotel is great. The air conditioning made it very easy to sleep. The room was large and very clean. I liked the layout of the bathroom. The grounds are beautiful. Parked on the street. The staff were helpful and very friendly. My room did not have shampoo nor conditioner but I had my own, so it was not a concern--just something to be aware of when you are packing. “It’s a remote location. I have a 4x4 and it was challenging to get to the hotel due to the loose rocks, especially as you get closer to the hotel. The good: remote location, very quiet with no internet access for digital detox. Good hike up to the big rock (800 meters). Good host. The bad: cabins are not well maintained. My whole family had spider bites in the morning. ”

The hammock is great to come back to after a long morning of walking/touring. Views of sunrise over the mountains in the morning and an occasional sight of Macaws flying by.
