"Extremely well kept and maintained, fire wood supplied for fire pit and swimming pool was brilliant for the kids. Very clean rooms and spacious. Such a comfortable bed! Unfortunately there was only a portable stove top, which was slow to cook on, but there was 2 bbqs outside, to compensate. "

"The place was packed when we arrived, so book in if you can. We camped out and used the facilities which were very clean and acceptable. Had fun with other guests around the fire pit. Overall, very good."

"Love staying here in Meningie. The hotel is right on the lake with terrific views through the large windows. Great variety of water birds can be seen easily. The room was light, airy and spacious. The beds were well made up and comfortable. Service was excellent. Will definitely be returning for another stay. "

"Given the lack of other accommodation available in Port Elliot, the rate is rather high for a Youth Hostel. Room was a bit stuffy and had to keep the window open and the fan going to get rid of the musty smell. Very small ensuite and shower."

"I am a builder. I found that the pillows & bed were extremely comfortable. Everything was so clean. Bathroom facilities were more than adequate. The area was so quiet, which was a plus for me. Highly recommended "

"Room was a good size with a kitchen , dining table and a couch. Shower head needs replacing, it was the worst shower we have come accross, double bed could do with a new mattress as well, sagged into the middle."
