“We were notified by the Grindavik Guesthouse 1 day prior to our arrival that the town of Grindavik was closed due to volcanic activity. Even though the town was closed, the Grindavik Guesthouse refused to refund payment. ”

“Communication was difficult. Instructions to our room were unclear. We had to get escorted to the other building as our room was down the street from the main house. Breakfast was late so we did not get to have anything because we had to leave before they provided it. I messaged to ask for an accommodation and got no response. The shower was hard to figure out and I left a message asking about it and no-one ever returned my call. The location is in a suburb not walking distance to the city so...

“Schlechteste Unterkunft seit Jahren. Viel zu kalt im Zimmer, Inekten im Bett, unglaublich ringhörig. Für die Nachbarn oberhalb, die stundenlang bis Mitternacht und ab 3 Uhr morgens wieder 30min lärmten, kann die Unterkunft nichts. Keine Ahnung wie man diese Unterkunft gut bewerten kann. ”
