"The was a conference hotel. There were coffee machines every where (also in the room). The hotel is next to a beautiful park with a lot of animals. You can loan a bicycle for free (which we did). A huge parking place. A popular eating places close for the entrance. The location was perfect and the price was very reasonable! Breakfast was included (however it was not mentioned when we booked 😁). The is a huge home exhibition on and around the hotel. Very interesting."

"The breakfast were terrible: On Sunday, the hot foods were boiled egg, scrambled egg & sausages. ON Monday, the hot food was only boiled egg. Can't imagine a hotel will serve breakfast like this. In addition, the coffee was terrible, the worst of this 14-day trip in Netherlands, Germany & Denmark. The only good was to have a very nice view when looking out from the breakfast restaurant. "

"We called the reseption around 4pm as we saw we would be arriving after 8pm due to traffic in germany. Where supposed to get an sms with checkin instructions. This was not send, så had to call 4-5 times a bit before 8 to make sure we would be having a cabin to sleep in. This time we got the instructions. "The apartment was nice, with a lot of windows and centrally located. Not ideal place to stay if you have a car. Right next to a bar where people were loud and yelling till about 0500. We slept terribly. Closing the windows did nothing to keep out the noise. It was also very hot inside, without air conditioning. The shampoo and conditioner bottles were empty. "

Quintessentially a fairytale castle of the best kind Egeskov Castle has much to offer. Be prepared to spend the best part of the day here as there is so much to see with it's majestic gardens that seem to go on forever. Museums displaying vintage cars and motorcycles, aircraft and of course the Castle itself with an excellent toy museum in the attic which will appeal to every child at heart.
