"Enjoyed our stay, only down side was on the 2nd day, there was a queue for getting seated for breakfast and for hot food for breakfast. Dining area not big enough for amount of guest's "

"The hotel was good split in 2 one part being over a road. If your staying over the road then you need to go to thevother side for breakfast which wasnt great. However the food was lovely and the staff. This hotel is not for people who dont lik3 noise on a night However didnt both us. I would book again "

"We visit Durham at least once a month & try to stay at the same place all the time however we stayed here on this occasion, as usual place appeared to be closed. Very nice room & clean. Only issue I had was pillows weren’t very comfortable & the noise of a drill going in room next door just after 9am on day of departure, was a bit of a shock. We Would stay again though. "

"I was looking for a hotel close to where I would be working. There was a choice between this and a Premier Inn. The facilities are very similar, but the Bannatyne hotel was £30 cheaper. Will stay again next year."

"Hotel was very clean and comfortable. Only the one problem, it stated we could check in anytime, but when we arrived after a concert in Sunderland at 12:35am, we was informed that we had just made it!!"

"Great location hotel. Clean and modern. Didn't have breakfast or dinner but had a late drink in the bar. Very popular with groups of drinkers in the afternoon, early eve. Not a very accessible hotel however, as steps to the many levels. Used lift, but still steps to corridor and steps inside bedroom. location and price were good though."

"I was very happy with my stay. I was here for a run. I had a nice meal which was needed. I was particularly impressed at guest laundry at no extra cost. The staff were friendly and helpful. I asked for a small extension to my check out time and this was not a problem. This was extremely helpful as it enabled me to change after my run. I would definitely stay here again"

"This is a nice hotel located on the out skirts of Newcastle. The rooms are of a good size and the hotel has a very nice bar with a large out door seating area, the bar is used for breakfast where a very good continental and cooked breakfast is also available. The staff are very good but the parking is limited. "

"Overnight stay after seeing a band at The Glasshouse. Large, clean, comfortable room. Only complaint was the Uber heavy, Uber warm duvet! "

"Absolutely spot on, although the rooms are a little dated they are super clean and spacious. The evening meal choice is great, and the quality is excellent and not over priced. Ideal hotel if you’re visiting the museum as it’s only a 5 minute drive away. Overall we had a brilliant weekend."

"Lovely position and great staff, BUT shower in room did not work, breakfast greatly depleted after big group devoured it and not replaced. Greasy so called clean plates, tomatoes not cooked, no brown bread, no fruit, no decaf (though available on demand)"
