"Great spot right in the center of Hexham, a short walk to shops, coffee, restaurants, the beautiful Hexham Abby and the town market, where we picked up snacks and fresh bread for a walk along Hadrian’s Wall on Market Day. Also a 2 minute walk from a car rental agency and on site parking, which allowed us to get to and from town via train from Newcastle, but still rent a car for a day trip out to the Northumbria coast to see Bamburgh Castle, the beaches and beach towns. "Great location, affordable apartment for a large group. Metro link directly outside the door to connect you to Newcastle. Apartment in great condition and would recommend this place. Check in was difficult as you need to communicate with host over phone to retrieve the code to access the key but apart from that it was great. Malmaison Newcastle

Malmaison Newcastle

10/10 Excellent
"A lovely hotel in a great location with wonderful riverside views. The room was spacious and very comfortable with plenty of amenities (conditioner and body lotion in the bathroom would be good additions). The staff were friendly and helpful. A couple of improvements I would suggest: some additional savoury options on the continental breakfast, and a different layout at breakfast to reduce congestion. Overall a wonderful stay though; I would definitely recommend Malmaison in any city."

"All staff very helpful and friendly. Overall clean and tidy. Room spacious but a couple of issues. Only one plug socket next to the bed and only three in total. The other two were not in convenient locations. No shaver socket which was a major surprise! The hotel does have very limited parking which I guess you have to book. The Baltic car park next door is very expensive and by the hour. Gateshead Quays multi-storey (very new and clean) is a minute walk uphill from the hotel."
