"The Posada del Peine hotel was perfect for visiting Madrid. I had not been to Madrid before and was not sure where to book- fortunately this was awesome! The hotel is in the heart of shops and restaurants, a block from the Plaza Major, and walking distance to the Royal Palace, the Prado Museum, and subway. We loved it. "Excellent location for centre of Madrid, short walk to Opera Metro, slightly further to Sol. Loads of cafes and bars to hand, Carrefore within 5 mins. Rooms are basic but functional and the reception is operated part of day. Easy access in and out - only (minor) downside is poor sound proofing between rooms and street. Everything else really positive."
