This is our 4th year staying at Residence Inn for Christmas and they continue to provide 5-star services all around. A shout out to Emma who is our favorite for her professionalism at the front desk. It was a great last night on the road with a church group, we had been to Mexico and we had our last debrief meeting in the courtyard! The teens enjoyed the pool very much. Breakfast was outstanding!! Thank you!

This is a nice hotel and has updated their lobby. The area around the hotel is not the greatest, but there is a security fence around the property.

We were put in the rear building so we had a lot of construction noise. The mattresses need to be upgraded to feel more comfortable. The check in experience was wonderful.

Old and unsanitary

Old runs down apartments sold as hotel suites. Air ducts had no filters, if you’re asthmatic this place will land you in the hospital. Filthy grout and floors, haven’t been cleaned or swept in GOD knows how long. Coughed the whole night, heaters are terrible, didn’t sleep and left with our lungs on fire!

Comfortable and spacious

Stayed with a friend and her son and had 2 vehicles. Check in was painless. The attendant offered complimentary parking for both our vehicles and complimentary late check out. We ended up leaving a little early, but were granted permission to leave one of our vehicles for a few hours while we ran around town. Breakfast worked out really great. The room itself was clean and comfortable. Having the availability of seperate sleeping spaces allowed us to chat through the evening after setting her son up for bedtime. Only drawback was that the tub has a really slow drain and there was obvious staining in the tub due to this issue.

Nice but neglected

We have been staying at Residence in on Chester Lane for many, many years and will continue to stay there when we need to be in Bakersfield. However, we noticed that the grounds are not being kept up. Sad. The staff was wonderful and our room was comfortable. It was just the grounds have been long neglected. One large terra-cotta planter had plants that have been long dead. And the outdoor spaces had not been swept in a while. otherwise, I love this place.

Good side of highway 99. Pubes in bathroom. Drapes torn and one cigarette hole. Room appeared clean, smelled slightly of pet. Tub appeared to have slight ring. Shower head doesn't fire all holes. One glass had fruit juice debris. Ceiling above heater vent looked smokey. Value for price is acceptible but I will pay a little more for mych higher quality next time.
