“Was not the 4 star they list as but it is a decent country place with nice grounds. We were given the wrong room type for our second room (instead of balcony a small window facing back) , restaurant was okay but out of all beef and pork at 630-7pm so that was disappointing. Linens were low quality for a 4 star and pillows really small. The singer at bar was honestly the worst I have heard in my many travels to Ireland. Staff really nice. If you get it inexpensive might be good otherwise there...

“Loved the town and loved the unit. Check-in was quick and easy, and the room was warm and comfortably large. Parking was a nice benefit, for sure. Everything is right downstairs in the pub/restaurant or right outside the door in the quaint neighborhood. This is a great place in the heart of a fun and friendly town. Loved it.”

“We only stayed here for one evening on our way back from our Irish coast tour. We were surprised that the rooms were in such bad shape, because the reviews were so good. The bathroom was not in good shape, the carpet was falling apart, the water would not get hot, and the water in the shower was backfilling. “This is our second time at this establishment. Very clean and up-to-date cottage. The shower was wonderful and the bed, comfortable. Very quiet area on a working farm with cows & sheep.”

“Clean, nice rooms. Parking is in the castle pay lot which was a bit confusing when first arriving, but weekends are free to park there. The restaurant next door offers a 15% discount for staying at the rooms and the firecastle café offers a 10% discount and makes the most delicious pastries! We would definitely stay again!”
