"Frankly, this was my worst hotel experience ever, in terms of expectations versus reality. I’ve stayed in many crummy hotels, that I expected to be crummy. And stayed in many excellent hotels, that I expected to be excellent. Never have I stayed at a hotel that I expected to be excellent, but turned out to be very crummy!
Also, to put things into perspective, I have visited Philippines 25 times over the last 20 years and stayed in dozens of hotels around the country.
We experienced many failures, shortcomings and disappointments from the staff and the hotel:
1. First, their website states that they have 24 hour front desk attendance. In fact, they do not! Had I known the actual truth I would not have stayed there as I have a medical condition for which it would be ill advised to stay on an island with no means of being able to quickly reach emergency medical services.
2. Their website states that they accept Visa as payment. In fact, they do not. Had I known the truth, I would have arrived with more cash, as it was I had to borrow money from my family. Not a good look…
3. Their website states that Wi-Fi is available in all areas. The reception in our room was poor to nonexis"
