“Clean and comfortable, spacious room and very comfortable bed. Had a good night's sleep and would go back.”

“Room was immaculate and the staff were very friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Unfortunately, we felt the quality of the food didn’t reflect the price. We paid around £100 for an evening meal which included two mains, a shared Camembert to start, and two drinks, but we didn’t feel the quality of the food justified the price tag. “Great place to stay for a gig at the Cheese and Grain. Central location. Staff really friendly and helpful. Evening dinner menu was varied and bar had a nice atmosphere. Good breakfast and overall good value. Room had lots of character. Bathroom could do with an upgrade but was functional for a short stay.”

“I was pleasantly surprised when i arrived at this hotel. Iit overlooked the river Avon, and we could see a little waterfall from our window. The mill wheels was working just outside the dining room window. It would be lovely in the summer. The only downside was the choice for breakfast. However you get what you pay for and as a really cheap hotel it exceeded expectations and when next i go to Bath i will stay there. As a bonus it also has a toll road running into Bath which cost £1.20p cash...

“Fridge wasn't actually cold, jammed outer window that wouldn't close so there was consistent traffic noise from being next to major road. The fan/heater unit system is ancient, full of lint / dust and very ineffective -- particularly the heater setting (not very warm and would turn off after a couple of minutes). General cleanliness not great -- hairs etc in the bathroom, dirty carpet. There was also the most annoying buzz coming from various electronics in the room and the plug system to turn...

“This is the second time we have stayed at this property and already booked to come back again. Everything you need for a pleasant stay. Free parking is also a bonus. Just a few minutes away from the showground where they hold antique fairs. Jeff is an excellent host and cooks amazing meals. Looking forward to going back again soon. ”

“The service of the staff was excellent and car parking is free. However, the plug sockets next to the bed required moving the bedside tables, so if you want to use any electrical devices whilst in bed, you had to use the sockets across the room. The toilet positioned in the room were too close to the wall and the handles to open the windows were loose and call fall out anytime. ”
