"Kids loved the pool and slide. The pool was a little over capacity most evenings and is on the smaller side. There wasn’t a close eye kept there by staff and a hockey tournament with some teenage boys left me a little weary of my littles in the pool. I don’t blame this too much on the staff but a closer eye would have been nice. "

"My daughter and I took a 4 day trip from Ottawa to St John's in mid-July. Very impressed with the hotel. All staff was attentive and courteous. Room was very clean, comfy mattresses and pillows, everything looked brand new. Lovely room decor. Our room faced the harbour exit, amazing view. Everything in the room is operated from a panel where you insert your key card - lights, fan and AC, blinds. High-tech. Made me feel like I was in Japan. :) The Terre restaurant downstairs is totally a 5-star experience - and I'm a very picky critic. The only downside is there are not many breakfast/ snack/ sandwich places around, and the one in the hotel lobby is extremely expensive. The hotel is on Water Street which is closed off to traffic and completely pedestrian during the summer. The famous Jelly Bean houses are within walking distance. All in all, we had a wonderful stay and we recommend this to anyone visiting St John's. Thank you!"
