"Overall, the Grand Wailea is a great hotel, however, as a guest you feel like you’re just a cog in the machine. We had a great time, but never felt that over the top service / experience that you would expect for a hotel with the reputation that it has / costs as much as it does"

"This is a wonderful hotel. The rooms are beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean. We ate at both the breakfast buffet/with the ability to order and the outdoor bar and restaurant. The food was fresh tasting and absolutely delicious. The staff is welcoming, helpful and friendly. There is a pool area with an infinity pool and hot tub. There are even lounge seats in the pool. The location is great, walking distance to the public beach and shops at Wailea. The public beach is in a beautiful cove with a nice beach area and good snorkeling and a bathroom. I will absolutely return to this hotel. What a great find."

"Overall, our stay at Ho’olei was wonderful, as always! We were a party of eight, and the three-bedroom villa was the perfect setup for our family. There was something for everyone to enjoy, especially the kids. We loved the fitness classes, the pools on both sides of the property, the dining options, and the Fourth of July festivities. The villa was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable. One of our favorite parts of the trip was enjoying dinner on the lanai while watching the beautiful sunsets—those are memories we'll always cherish. Thank you, Ho’olei, for another amazing stay. We can't wait to come back!"

"Loved the property but definitely had difficulty with getting service poolside. Moved to a different pool and thought that would help. Still no service. Eventually moved back to adult pool and walked around and found a staff member. After that we just decided to go directly to the bar ourselves for a drink. I got the feeling they thought we weren’t staying there but they should ask. We were guests of the hotel. I would appreciate spending that kind of money per night to not have to seek out service."

"Room was great. Resort was beautiful. Grounds immaculately maintained. Housekeeping could not have been better. Location to mall was great. Restaurants really good but expensive. Drinks very expensive. Walk way along the ocean to other resorts. Only issue a lot of rules by the pool. Don’t bring leftover food to the pool because they will ask you to leave."

"We loved staying at this property in Wailea for a recent 7 day trip in June 2026. Pros - Our family of 4 had plenty of space to spread out, two bedrooms was ideal - Kitchen was perfectly stocked with dishes, coffee, first aid kit - location was beautiful (even if a walk to the water) - parking always available -check in and check out was seamless (they texted me a key code) - enough towels and beach towels for our family of 4/ restocked them with a cleaning visit midway into our trip - Shoppes at Wailea were a great resource and were walkable or drivable (see below), for groceries restaurants and both high end and mid range shopping. Cons - When we arrived there was a sign that said the water would be off for maintenance 9am-1pm on one day. We ended being out of the unit so it wasn’t as huge of a deal, but we did have to rush our morning a bit and that wasn’t texted ahead of time. It was just a paper sign posted outdoors. - door to the bathroom in the Master BR of 1107 was broken or never there (?) so if using the commode you had to shut the main bedroom door not to be seen. - walk to the beach was a bit longer than we expected and uphill at the end of the night wasn’t ideal. Took about 17-20 minutes at a good pace, although the distance was reasonably short , you can’t get there directly due to winding paths and golf courses shutting down direct access. We ended up making the walk our exercise most days but I would have rather walk/run directly on the beach path."

"The property and the unit we stayed in was absolutely amazing. The balcony was right over the private beach and it’s also where the sunset so the view was beautiful. Right out the front door was the pool and spa and a few steps more and you’re on the beach. The unit was very clean and decorated so cute and had every amenity in the kitchen and bathrooms you could need. It was so peaceful and the beach was clean and water was prestige. The management company was super easy to deal with and loved my daily text of sunset and sunrise times and word of the day such a cute touch! I will definitely go back and will be requesting the same unit that was ideally positioned if possible. The entire property was beautiful and the secluded beach was amazing"

"The property was beautiful and well maintained. Lush garden spaces. Pool area and loungers being available along with poolside service was great. Room was large and felt very private. Overall quiet property and relaxing stay. Beach picnic excursion was great as well!"
