First room we were given had a very strong mould smell, we were given a second room and then chastised for using the bathroom in the first because they wanted to give the room to someone else. No one should have had the first room. Second room had some mould on the windows and lots of condensation, but it was a wet day. Dinner, the restaurant was closed, food was nice at the bar but took 1.5 hours to be served with two small children. Indoor heated pool was fantastic.
From the moment we walked into the Lobby it exuded luxury, The whole Hotel smelled luxurious, the rooms do not disappoint, the pool is fabulous.
When it came to Harvey’s bar, the staff were AMAZING, everything was personal, they learned our names, drinks top notch. The food in the restaurant was second to none! Highly recommend The Gibraltar for couples or families. We will definitely return and even discussed booking the venue for a future wedding.
We had a wonderful stay at Gibraltar Bowral. The people were very friendly and welcoming, and there was plenty of parking, which was very convenient.
The beautiful heated swimming pool was a highlight, and the kids absolutely loved it! The food was very nice, and the whole environment was peaceful, beautiful, and relaxing.
The staff were lovely and always served us with a beautiful smile, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
I would definitely love to come back again for a few days to relax, unwind, and recharge my energy. Highly recommended for a peaceful family getaway!
The Gibraltar room was extremely nice and overlooking the golf course. Nice ambience to the bar lounge and restaurant. Large bathroom and shower. Huge room and super king bed were a bonus. Would stay again and bring the clubs.
The location of the Gibraltar is absolutely fabulous. The room was very clean and spacious. I would definitely recommend staying here as I would stay here again. Being only 10 minutes out of Bowral is a plus.
Amazing experience. Staffs tried their best for what we asked, clean room and beautiful view. Dinner at Marilo restaurant was also satisfying. Would love to go back.
An outstanding stay, comfortable beds, clean room and welcoming staff to help. Well worth a short or long stay.

Liked: Cleanliness
We found the restaurant offering for dinner with the banquet was difficult. There were four of us and the banquet dinner offer was min for 3 people. One other person wanted to do a la carte but the mgt advised they could not do this. The waiter in charge was abrupt banged the bottle of wine on the table. We all ended up having one course dinner and walked out unhappy. The banguet dinner was $78 (i think) x 3, and 1 x a la carte meal. The result the 3 x banquet would have been financially beneficial to the hotel + 1 x a la carte. Instead we just ordered our main and walked out unhappy. Otherwise everything else was amazing.
Beds are usually pretty good here but this stay it wasn’t the best.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Our overnight stay was made all the better by a room upgrade with a very pleasant golf course & lake view from the spacious room. Interactions with staff all very positive. Although by no means old, the room and bathroom were showing signs of the need for a minor refurbishment in some respects.
Admittedly a First World issue, however, placement of power points far from ideal and a lack of USB ports to charge phones was noted.
We stayed at a family room.
Spacious. Head boards could do with a little more cleaning. Charging ports on the sides of the head boards were convenient.
Swimming pool was very nice temperature.
Great value breakfast overlooking the golf course was very relaxing.
It could really help if flag were different colour for easy identification.
Great bedding and bathroom, esp shower- best i have ever had. However we were expecting 2 bedrooms plus a living/eating area with a table Instead of a ledge. Instead we had to walk through our son’s room to get to ours. So not a 2br suite. We’ll read the specs more carefully in future. A mirror in the main bedroom would also be useful.
