Only bugbear is that the service at breakfast is ok if you've got all day but not great if you want to get a move on. Why aren't you like other hotels where I can help myself to juice and cereal and that will shave 10 - 15 minutes off the time?”
“We had a lovely stay!!!! The room was spotless, beautifully decorated with all.the amenities and added extras you could wish for!! The pub itself was lovely - clean with friendly, helpful and attentive staff. Two nice outdoor seating areas, and the beer garden itself was fully enclosed - great for dogs and kids. Hotel and pub were dog friendly. Breakfast was lovely with a good choice of hot and cold offerings! Would highly recommend and will definitely stay again!”
“Always use the Grange when in the area. Local to Silchester where we visit. Comfortable bed and clean room. Staff friendly and keen to help (i use a walking stick). Reasonable room rate. Lovely breakfast.”

You can hear the trains in certain parts of the hotel which is mentioned in the hotel description, we stay at the weekend so it wasn’t really an issue but during the week I would opt for a room at the other side of the hotel which is clear when booking a room. “I have to give a shout out to Wictoria who worked at the reception and checked us in. First impressions make such a difference and she did ever so well. Very polite, engaging and even showed us to where we were to stay. We have two rooms. one studio and one very spacious flat with everything from a kitchen, to dining area to living room and balcony.
