“Lovely hosts, clean and comfortable room and well located for Woolacombe, Ilfracombe and surrounds”

“Loved the room, nice and airy, big fan supplied for the heat. Very picturesque surroundings, beside a cool babbling stream with plenty of shade and colourful plants. Excellent internet connection. Bit of a surprise there was no restaurant, only a small bar area above the leisure facilities, however there was provision in the room to heat with a microwave and crockery and cutlery to suit bringing a takeaway back. Would have preferred specific warning on the website so I could have arrived...

“I booked a single room and the room was fine, however, there's been a heatwave in the UK and it continued while I was staying at this hotel. I would have thought that, given there is no air conditioning in the hotel rooms and the heatwave was ongoing, a fan would have been provided. My room faced west so it was quite hot and it didn't cool down much as the evening progressed because there was no cross breeze - just one window on one side of the room. “Our 2nd stay at the Sailors Rest...Nice room with fantastic views & a huge king size bed... Great shower & mini fridge with fresh milk & water ...nice touch. Happy with our 1 night stay in Beautiful Appledore & hopefully will return to the Sailors Rest in the future.”

The view from our room was incredible, the room was super spacious and comfortable and the hospitality from Chris including a very hearty and delicious breakfast was superb. It’s also in a beautiful quiet location right next to a cove where you can walk and swim.”
