enjoyed my stay here. The property was cozy, clean, and well maintained. The owner was very nice and gave me a tour when I first arrived.
The room was comfortable, clean, and exactly what I needed. It had its own private half bathroom, and the shared showers had different themes, which I thought was pretty cool. Everything was clean and well taken care of.
The hot tub looked really nice, although I didn’t get a chance to use it. The next morning, we went downstairs for breakfast and were greeted by another gentleman who was also very friendly.
Overall, I had a really nice experience. Everyone was welcoming, the place was comfortable, and I would definitely stay here again.
My room was incredibly dusty and smelled of cigarettes.. owner was very nice,, place had some great architecture but the room was just not cleaned for a guest stay
Such a lovely cute and homey place in the middle of a great neighborhood. It was my first time in Buffalo and the kind and helpful staff made me feel very welcomed. The room was small but clean, very comfortable and had everything I needed. Definitely will try to book it again next time I’m in Buffalo.
First time in Buffalo. I was here for the game. Allentown is apparently a pretty safe neighborhood, which is why I chose this place. You can either stay here or pay $200 more dollars for a more sterile environment across the street. Anyways, the room is not the best I've ever stayed at, but definitely not the worst. To give you an idea -- the doors are lock & key (and don't block sound), the bathroom tiles were a bit chippy, there's no space in the bathroom to put your toiletries bag except on top of the toilet, But it was clean. If you need a meal, go to Cafe 59 down the street and get the soup & salad. If you're going to the game, here's a little secret: there's a shuttle from the Utica Station to the New Highmark Stadium. To get to Utica Station, just walk 20 minutes via Linwood Ave, a safer street. (Utica Station is a little rough, so don't bring your whole wallet, just your $5 bills to get on the shuttle.) Would I stay here again? Yes. Would I put my parents in a room here? Probably not.
Staff was extremely helpful when my arrival was delayed - I could not check in until 11pm.
Property was clean, comfortable, and conveniently located. Will plan to stay at Buffalo Guesthouse for future trips. Go Bills.
The room was very clean and the staff was super helpful and accommodating. My biggest criticism here is that for the price I paid of almost $250 per night that it was definitely not worth it. The location was decent, but did not make up for the boarding room style rooms.
The staff was super helpful when I showed up early and we're able to work with me to get a room quickly. The rooms are homey and comfortable. I have stayed a couple times and highly recommend the experience!
Our room had very comfortable beds. Was able to sleep very soundly due to it being so quiet!

Liked: Cleanliness
The property was a little expensive to what I paid. The breakfast was included in the price but was not as what was mentioned on site while making the booking. Felt disappointed as I had to have a good breakfast outside the hotel. Will be sure next time to make things clear.
This is a true Guesthouse, similar to a hostel, but with private rooms. It is old, but, lovingly cared for by the owner and staff. Private toilet and tiny sink comes with the room. There is a shared shower down the hall. I did not have to wait to shower. This is not luxury, but, it gets the job done, and you'll be happy because the price is right. Also, there are really nice fellow travelers that you will get to meet in a way that is totally different than at a standard hotel. I would stay here again.
Liked it - unique and kind of quirky, very comfy sleeping arrangements. Our room with the half bath was nice, and the hallway shower arrangement was perfectly fine. They are individual private units and good quality, clean, etc…Guests should not expect luxury and every little detail to be just right. There is plenty of work that could be done to make the place more upscale, but it isn’t there yet and ownership doesn’t necessarily have funding to get it to that level quickly. Pricing reflects the fact that it is not a luxury place. I’d stay there again!
A very interesting property in a cool part of Buffalo. I enjoyed sitting in the hot tub in the back yard. The owner and staff are nice people. I had a good stay.
