"The parking lot and exterior looked shabby, and at first I wasn't sure that this was the property I had booked. Upon entering, the lobby looked nice and so my spirits lifted. Check in was great, and the front desk clerk was very friendly. There was one elevator by the lobby which took us up to our floor. The hallway was shabby. The carpet is well past needing to be replaced. While walking to our room I noticed a room number plaque was missing on a door, and they had replaced it with hardware store mailbox numbers. So classy. We found our room, and I looked down the hall past it to another elevator that was clearly broken and had blue painters tape masked across the doors in an "X" to indicate that it was broken. The room appeared to have been renovated in the last few years, and it was clean and decent. Except that we needed to go to bed early, as we had to leave around 3am to catch an early flight. When we crawled into bed at 8pm, we found out that there are NO blackout curtains in our room. So, we did the best we could to sleep with light coming through the windows."
