The view from our room was wonderful, though it was a fair walk to the main restaurant hub. It's a shame the property doesn't have a restaurant of its own operating, but there's one nearby. It looks like the place is being freshened up a bit, which is good. It has great potential. The air con in our room was a bit hit and miss, but luckily the weather was lovely. We enjoyed our stay here.

予約時より、改装後の部屋をリクエストしており、部屋はきれいであった。 早朝の到着であったため、荷物をホテルに預けてから出かけようと計画していたが、アーリーチェックインの対応をして頂け、大変ありがたかった。 部屋の広さは申し分ないです。バスタオル、バスマット、シャンプー、リンスー、BODYソープ、石鹸、ドライヤー、アイロンはありますが、歯ブラシや部屋着等はありませんでした。シャワーの水圧は若干弱めですが、お湯はすぐに出ます。 空港から近いのは良いですが、ケアンズの中心部からは少し離れています。

Great location. WiFi is horrible. I believe the property recently changed management. They have a lot of work to do as it is very old and dated. You have to ask for housekeeping, and then there’s still no guarantee. Staff is friendly and helpful, and they were willing to store baggage.

Overall, this is a very modest hotel. The furniture dates back to the 1960s and is rather run-down. There is very little care or attention to detail, and we received no real welcome. When we arrived, we found that renovation and exterior painting works were underway, making the hotel car park unusable. We had not been informed about this in advance. We were simply told that we would not be able to park our car there for the next few days, but that we could leave it in the free street parking spaces behind the hotel. Under the pretext of an “environmental initiative”, housekeeping is only provided on request if you are staying for more than four days. As soon as I arrived, I looked under the bed and found a thick layer of dust and dirt — quite unacceptable and giving the impression of years of neglect and inadequate cleaning. The view and the position along the Esplanade fantastic.

The property uses AI-enhanced images of the rooms to make them appear clean, modern, and well maintained. Upon arriving at the hotel, it was immediately obvious that the photos did not accurately represent the property. The exterior was dirty, run-down, and looked as though its best days were 50 years ago. After collecting my key and making my way to the lift, I was greeted by other guests who immediately warned me about the poor condition of the hotel. Unfortunately, they were right. When I entered my room, I was immediately disappointed. The only similarity between the AI-generated images and the actual room was that it contained two beds. The room had a strong musty smell, and it was clear the bathroom had not been cleaned properly. There was hair and dust on the floor that certainly wasn't mine, along with a slimy residue surrounding it. The bed sheets felt stiff and gave the impression they had been reused without being properly washed. The spare blankets were also covered in numerous stains, making them unpleasant to use. Don't be fooled by the AI-enhanced photos or the suspiciously positive bot-like reviews. The reality is nothing like what is advertised, and I would not stay here again.

We liked the position of the property and the staff were very pleasant. Unfortunately the property was extremely poorly maintained and the rooms were old and shabby with a musty smell. Overall the property desperately needs investment to bring it up to an acceptable standard.

Staff were lovely - it has a 24/7 reception team. Our room had an updated modern bathroom but the remaining part of the room was still very dated and unrefurbished. However it was clean and the bed was comfortable.One of the elevators was down at the time of our stay, but the other was working. It is a great location, beach was right out the front and you can walk to cainrs city along the waterfront in under 20mins.

the property was a little further along the esplanade than what I thought. The room was exactly as advertised with water views, lovely. Staff were fantastic. The only downside for this stay was one of the lifts not working, lucky it wasn't extremely busy with travellers with luggage.

My room needed refurbishment but the whole building is being updated. The staff were all very kind and helpful. My view on the balcony was spectacular on the 6th floor. The bed was also very comfortable. For what I paid it was very good. I’d certainly stay again. The pool was also very clean.

The images of this hotel is fake! Be aware of that before you book! The room is pretty old and has a uncomfortable smelling, It is definitely not a 4 star Hotel, they do not even has tool paste, I have to buy from the vendor mechine myself! One star for the view, nothing more than that.

The experience was bearable, the hotel was under renovations which should have been mentioned on the website also they should have updated the pictures online. There was no hotel restaurant, bar or any sort of eating area apart from the vending machines at the entrance infront of the courtesy desk. There was no house keeping done to our room at all, (we were there for 4 nights)we could not open curtins of freely as there was people painting the balcony n outside of the building. We had to showered with door close no ventilation because the humidity from the shower could set of the fire alarm. The internet connection was a joke kept cutting out n there was not enough power points around the room n non neither the beds or the one bedside table n the powered point in the bathroom for the "hair-dryer" was so fully n dangerous to the point u had to hold it to keep in on as it kept falling out. N the TV was a joke 32inch. But on the upside the water pressure in the shower was great.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! It is a disgusting, old, run-down hotel that looks nothing like the pictures! The first thing I noticed was the black mould on the back of the front door when I walked in! There was no blanket on the bed, luckily there was a thin blanket that I found in the wardrobe which didn't help much on a particularly cold night for Cairns. There were also no power point's near the bed, I had to plug my phone into the one behind the TV. Please be careful because somehow they are running 3 hotels/motels out of the same horrid building - The Reef Motel and Acacia Court Hotel are being used as fronts for the same building. My mother and brother stayed at The Reef Motel the week before and had the same horrible room and experience as I did. Unfortunately I didn't realise that the Oceanfront was located in the same building when I booked it and was so angry when I rocked up at the front! They also say that they are newly renovated rooms and the hotel is being refurbished but that's a lie too! Please save yourself and do not book here. I never write reviews but had too because if how bad it was and I don't want people to have to experience what my family and I had to go through!
