This property was being renovated at the time of our stay. The staff was great! They gave great suggestions on dining and activities. They were always available. We were close to the esplanade which borders the mud lake and lots of public park activities all the way down to the marina. We felt very safe there.

The hotel staff were all excellent. The hotel is undergoing renovations and out room hasn’t yet been renovated, so it was quite dated, which is reflected in the price. A great stay, thanks.

The view from our room was wonderful, though it was a fair walk to the main restaurant hub. It's a shame the property doesn't have a restaurant of its own operating, but there's one nearby. It looks like the place is being freshened up a bit, which is good. It has great potential. The air con in our room was a bit hit and miss, but luckily the weather was lovely. We enjoyed our stay here.

Well, what can you say, you pay for what you get, it's a good hotel, the staff are lovely, unfortun1tely, the room is not what on the advertised photos, we have been here for four days and never had our room done, towels replaced etc, the room door doesn't have a chain or extra security on it, also they are a little run down, if you on a budget it's a good place to stay, bed is very comfortable, I would probably stay here again.

We liked the position of the property and the staff were very pleasant. Unfortunately the property was extremely poorly maintained and the rooms were old and shabby with a musty smell. Overall the property desperately needs investment to bring it up to an acceptable standard.

The staff were amazing, property was clean and you have all the room facilities you need, great pool, due to the fact the resort was closed for 3yrs and had only reopened 3wks before we came it was in good condition, can’t wait to come back and see the place after the renovations, a big thank you to Lindy and the rest of the staff for being so lovely, we enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to come back.

My room needed refurbishment but the whole building is being updated. The staff were all very kind and helpful. My view on the balcony was spectacular on the 6th floor. The bed was also very comfortable. For what I paid it was very good. I’d certainly stay again. The pool was also very clean.

the property was a little further along the esplanade than what I thought. The room was exactly as advertised with water views, lovely. Staff were fantastic. The only downside for this stay was one of the lifts not working, lucky it wasn't extremely busy with travellers with luggage.

This hotel has just been taken over by new owners the staff were saying, so are putting a lot of money into it to get it up to 4 star. The staff were so helpful, my room was great ,and with the improvements it'll only get better. What a location too, loved we were looking out over the ocean, and an easy walk into town. I'll definitely be staying here again when I come back.

Hotel is in a great location but it is old and beat-up. Within an hour of arriving we were all evacuated from the building into the rain. After about an hour they let us back in without any explanation. The large restaurant was permanently closed so I went to the neighbouring hotel for supper. The room was large but filthy. It did have the advertised ‘ocean view’ but as it was only the second floor it was partially blocked by trees. In front of the balcony was a subroof covered in garbage and cigarette butts. It is on the flight path of the airport so very noisy although not at night. Unfortunately, none of the hotels in Cairns offer airport shuttles but taxis were quick in and out.

Great location. WiFi is horrible. I believe the property recently changed management. They have a lot of work to do as it is very old and dated. You have to ask for housekeeping, and then there’s still no guarantee. Staff is friendly and helpful, and they were willing to store baggage.

Our first room was totally unacceptable. Dirty, curtain hanging off rail nothing like the photos. Not one to normally complain but the staff were most helpful and courteous and moved us to another room.
