“Great stay, clean and comfortable. Very friendly and helpful host. Only complaint is that the bathroom was shared and I cannot recall seeing that as part of the info when booking. ”

“A short but very sweet stopover for us at this lodge. The staff are beyond excellent and offered great service, activities and fabulous food. So glad we stayed and suggest you do too.”

“Very welcoming staff -- breakfast was one of the best I've had.”

“Har kan du verkligen slappna av i fantastiska omgivningar. Personalen är så vänliga. Ägarna fantastiska. Detaljerna är helt underbara och det finns friska blommor överallt inne. Kan varmt rekommendera att äta den gemensamma middagen på långbordet. Träffa andra gäster och dela erfarenheter. Mycket god mat av hög kvalité. Fantastisk frukost upplägg. ”

“Pre-check in comms and answering cell number after arrival were very poorly handled. Would have been better to be able to chat to someone to get the details from a human than just a board at reception when we arrived. ”

“Lovely quiet location with Friendly staff ”

“Don't stay in room 204. Loud music and then traffic noise. Ruined our 1st night!”

“I really liked this place - great location - perfect for exploring the town and all Hermanus has to offer! Really nice staff and great value for the type of accommodation! I really liked my room - very comfy bed and a great big shower! Good wi fi too! I'd stay again! Thank you!”

“The staff were really friendly and helpful even before we arrived. The secure parking area was a bonus! Our room had a great view of the ocean and was even bigger than expected. It was the perfect location for exploring the old harbour. Highly recommend booking here!”

“Sehr nette Inhaber, haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt ”

“Die Unterkunft befindet sich mitten in Hermanus , daher sehr gut gelegen. Etwas in die Jahre genommen jedoch sauber und sehr geräumig! In unmittelbarer Nähe alles was man braucht.”

“Our stay at Birkenhead House was the ultimate Hermanus retreat. From the warm, attentive team to the eclectic design and breathtaking floral displays, every detail left us feeling spoiled. Ideally situated steps from the beach and scenic walking routes, it was a paradise for nature lovers—complete with dozens of whale sightings, rich birdlife, and the striking indigenous flora of the Western Cape.”
