"Tao Hotel was the first hotel in our long vacation that we stayed at. Room was average size with a balcony that overlooks the river. No upgrades offered. Staff was nice. There are a lot of restaurants and street food vendors within walking distance. Nothing special about the hotel. There is a tuk tuk driver that will literally harass you to let him take you places. The first day he took us to the mall because our room was not ready. He later came back and picked us up. We asked him how...

"The apartment was very spacious, we stayed for 15 nights and were very comfortable. The two bedrooms were very nice and the beds very comfy. Well equipped with slippers and dressing gowns, iron and ironing board. A lovely bathroom and plenty of towels. The kitchen had 2 hob rings, microwave, and full size fridge and freezer. There were a few pans and utensils as well as crockery. (No oven). The pool was lovely and there is a gym, sauna and steam room. Air con in each room so we could set...

"The services are good although the hotel is situated in a different province completely away from Phnom Penh. This can be costly if you intend to go shopping or buy essential goods needed for your stay. Otherwise the hotel is very nice and staff friendly and able to assist whenever needed."

"Tried to give me one bed apartment which was next to building site. Far too noisy. Bad service to even try putting a guest in such a apartment. Staff not very competent, eventually had to get hotels.com to contact manager to get moved. Property is okay, good location, but really nothing special. Pool area is not so great. Gym is okay and usable. Lots of building work going on in local area so be sure to get apartment on a high floor. "

"Pros: Price, nice staff, gated security with staff working at all time. Parking was ample. Great communication. Mini mart, 7-Eleven, restaurants, and small vendors all around. Cons: Small ants around kitchen trash area and bathroom. AC not cold in bedroom. Shower head holder loose causing water to leak onto floor if it hits the tub. WiFi router stopped working, but staff replaced it right away. "

"A lovely hotel about $3 tuk tuk from city centre. Roof garden and pool amazing while the staff helpful and courteous. Breakfast served next door is spot on but having an apartment meant we could do washing, use the fridge etc Definitely recommend. "

"Koh Rong is quiet but the Hill Beach Resort is located near the more popular area of Long Set beach. Probably nicer places along the other beach but your stuck far away from shops and restaurants. The resort and staff were lovely and I think its the pick on the island. They have their own jetty which the main ferry line drop you off at."
