“Spacious room and very nice classic hotel. Exceeded expectations!”

“The views are amazing! And the staff is very nice. Unfortunately the hotel breakfast was poor and of very mediocre quality. The dinner restaurant was a buffet with mediocre cafeteria quality items. Most surprising was the fact that the towels were ancient and yellowed badly needed replacement. The hotel needs a renovation if it is to become an attractive place. A pity since the location is truly phenomenal.”

“Great location central to driving anywhere on the island. Extremely helpful desk staff. Very clean, good linens and nice pools. They could use hooks in the rooms for hanging damp and wet items after swims and hikes. They could separate smokers from non smokers as it was impossible to enjoy time on our balcony with ocean view most of the time when people next door were always out there smoking on theirs. Restaurant was ok. Thank you to the front desk staff for recommendations and taxi booking.”

“Nice hotel just off of the main road. Located across from where boats dock and cruise ships come into harbor. About a 15 minute walk to the town center. Convenient if you are seeing the island by a car. Self parking available and very convenient. Great breakfast. Go early for a window seat. Great bar on the 7th floor with views of the ocean. I skipped the spa as there is a capacity limit and they suggest you make a reservation. Hotel staff is pleasant and helpful. Room was nice. Comfy bed....

“The hotel is in a great location for exploring Ponta Delgada. We were very comfortable in our room with the added luxury of a small terrace with climbing vines for reading and sitting in the sun. The breakfast was wonderful which included many options, all delicious. The restaurant and cafe were great also. “My flight was canceled and then canceled again due to the weather. Ended up spending an extra 5 nights in Ponta Delgada. Found the hotel via Expedia. Beautiful hotel! It looks brand new. Property is very well maintained. Rooms are very very clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The outdoor pool looks nice but it was too cold for a dip. The spa is very nice.
