"Stayed here 2/19/24 through 2/21. Location and property are absolutely beautiful, but unwalkable from downtown Franschhoek, so you'll need a rental car or us their recommended taxi service via Whatsapp if you plan to drink lots of wine. Uber was not reliable in this area. The staff were very nice and the breakfast options were good, but limited. I would highly recommend this location. "

"Extraordinary place. If you have any love of gardens, horticulture, farm-to-table food, or just general wholesome living then you will enjoy it here. The gardens and farm are not a performance - at over 2000 acres and something like 700 staff they somehow manage to seamlessly blend luxury with genuine production, and the variety is extraordinary. "The Spier is a lovely vineyard with good accommodation. They are now starting a complete renovation of the hotel and keeping all their staff on as part of the plan . I have always felt completely safe and cared for within the hotel grounds . A wonderful breakfast in the sunshine is the perfect way to start the day . There are many things to do swimming , cycling , walking , visit the hotel vegetable garden and see the birds enroute . I look forward to visiting Spier next year after its...
