Really lovely and clean room with free water, coffee and biscuits. The bathroom had shower gel and shampoo for us to use. Really lovely location and quick and easy entry and check out. Would definitely stay again.

-Presentable property -comfortable bed -spacious -good shower -tons of towels provided -easy quick access to the beach and nearby restaurants. - tv had netflix - towel heater in bathroom -easy check in -ample storage space -good kettle A few niggles: -i think the listing could be improved to include valuable info such as - parking is on street and not always guaranteed plus the tv has netflix (had i known this i wouldnt have bought my laptop along with me) -there arent any hooks anywhere - not much of an issue in the bedroom as you can hang in the cupboards, but necessary in the bathroom. We had towel rail full of beachwear so you need somewhere to hang your towel and a change of clothes when in the shower. -green lights (i assume for health and safety reasons) might be good to have this pictured so people who require black out to sleep can bring an eye mask -sofa bed very uncomfortable - when i lay on there (i am an average sized adult) the springs were digging into my back, luckily for us, only my 3 year old slept there so he was unaffected. -although toiletries are pictured, shower gel not provided - tea and coffee facilities: biscuits were stale and unedible and spoons needed a good clean -it wouldve been useful to provide an additional cotton sheet for each bed - duvet is comfortable but borderline too hot in the summer months On the whole a very positive experience, however there are a few pointers for improvement. Thanks

The property was very easy to find and parking wasn't a problem as there is free street parking or a car park behind the property at a reasonable price. Our room was very clean and tidy with good facilities. Didn't meet our host but was always available via phone if needed and got in touch to ask if we needed anything such as extra towels etc. Easy access to the beach and shops.

Older property than we expected. The front entry needed a good sweep. Trash out front greeted us and set a poor tone. Bit of paint and things could look better. Our room door was damaged and below acceptable.

When I arrived at the property I was unable to get in as there was a didgital lock on the door and I was not given the code also I was not provided with the room number. Also, the Contact Telephone number on my Confirmation document was not in service and apparently not the phone number of the manmagement. Had to go through a time taking and convoluted process to gain access. Not pleased.

I was impressed how slick the check in process was despite having no staff on site. I submitted a question about an issue with check in and got a response and resolution within 10 mins. Nice room, clean, well equipped. The only downfall was creaky floorboards so take ear plugs.

Generally it was fine, but a few small niggles. On arrival we (myself and my wife) found only one towel, a bath towel. I contacted management who responded quite quickly and delivered more towels. The list of amenities included 'free bottled water' (there wasn't any) and 'Netflix available' (it isn't, unless you sign in with your own account) Apart from those issues it was OK. Just a bit surprised that there is actually no one there apart from guests, no reception or staff in the building. More like an Airbnb or hostel than a hotel really.

Serviced rooms with no reception on site. The room itself was fine, comfy bed, very clean. Access by code at the front door, then a lock box with your room key by the door. Everything about the room was just fine. The problem was the cackling drunk next door neighbours. Not in the hotel, but in the room in the building next to mine. I went to bed at 9 as had to be up early next morning for a big bike ride. I was woken up at 12 by raucous drunk laughter, two women clearly hammered and who clearly didn’t care a) who knew it or b) whether people nearby were trying to sleep. This went on, no lie, until 5 am. Just as I had given up and starting loading the car for my ride, I noticed it had gone quiet next door. Thought about making a racket, but unlike certain others, I wasn’t selfish enough to affect the other people around me.

Pretty disappointed for the price we paid. These pics are obviously old because it was very run-down. The toilet seat was broken, the pillows on the rock-hard bed were so flat, even stacking the 2 didn't help. The floor felt like it was broken under the rug. Every review I see just focused on how lovely the place smelled, which it did, but maybe because they didn't want to mention the state of disrepair? In all my years of travelling, I don't think I ever had to ask for a hair dryer, it is almost always standard. I am not trying to seem mean, I am just being honest. This place was not worth the money. The only good thing, is where it is located in Porthcawl. Don't count on getting any parking on the street, just go to the John St parking lot and pay. It is less stressful.

Expensive

Expensive for what it was Tea and coffee available but no milk Bed was uncomfortable with one pillow no pillow cases. Bedding wasn’t cotton so it was very warm to lay on. No where to hang clothes. No welcome desk all self check in which didn’t know we caught the owner in the car as we arrived as main door was locked needed a code to access. Luckily brought my own hairdryer as wasn’t one a available or fan
