"Clean rooms, pool was nice and clean, there’s a hot tub. No breakfast nothing fancy, but decent if you need a cheap place for 1 night or 2. No shuttle service to legoland "

"Unfortunately, the condition of the room and several aspects of the stay did not meet the expectations set by your website or the standard we anticipated. Upon arrival, we noticed blood on the shower curtain, which was obviously concerning from a cleanliness standpoint. The carpet near the bed was damp, and the coffee maker in the room was broken, which made basic morning amenities unavailable when we needed them. Additionally, there was a bright flashing light from a detector in the room that blinked throughout the night, making it difficult to sleep. Compounding that issue, there was extremely loud truck beeping beginning very early in the mornings (before sunrise) and continuing throughout the both nights from the area near the aquarium building outside our window. We were also disappointed to learn that room service was not available as advertised. Your website states that room service is offered daily, but we were told via text (which I still have) that availability varies by day and was not offered until 2:00 PM. During breakfast at the Dragon’s Den restaurant, the orange juice had the color and consistency of lemonade, and several other guests commented on the same issue. In addition, the apple juice machine was out of order both days we were there. We also had to wait a while for a table, even outside, and the wait staff frustratingly told us they were extremely short staffed. I have gotten no response in over 10 days about our issues. "

"Great experience! Booked a 3 day trip to Carlsbad and had a room with a partial view of the ocean and it was lovely!! Hotel was clean, staff was friendly, amenities were offered such as a continental breakfast each day, pool, jacuzzis, games, beach equipment available on a first come first serve basis based on quantity available. (Chairs, umbrella, volleyball, boogieboards) and a recreational room with nightly activities set up by staff for onsite entertainment. Within walking distance to the beach, local restaurants, and local shopping in the Carlsbad village. Underground private parking was also available and is gated. overall, the stay was a great experience and we would love to be back soon for another visit!! "

"Immediately upon arrival the agent that check me and my wife into to the room seem to have a bitter attitude. The greeting was no warm at all. My wife and I were confused how the deposit and hold to get the room was handled. My is way more thorough than I and we both were confused when she (front desk) said your room was paid online but we need a credit card for 100 for the room. I said to the agent will we get charged right now or is that an incidental hold. She just repeated we need a credit card for 100. Needless to say my wife credit card was charged 100.00 on 3/20 Friday but we checked out on Monday 3/16! So.i called back to the hotel and of course the agent reminded me that she knew who we were. She then proceeds to tell me there's a difference a hold a charge and every hotel has the discretion to charge that fee.. There were issues at this hotel we checked in and so therefore they charge a 100 deposit instead of a incidental hold...so livid!!! Cause the customer service was on zero from her because she says that she mentioned that to my wife and we signed the paperwork so we understood what was happening. If this is how Days inn conducts business from a bait and switch position, I definitely will not be staying "

"We got there early but still had to wait until beyond our check-in time. They didn’t even send anyone to “inspect” the rooms until after check-in time. They didn’t appear very busy and I think “inspection” should have been completed and the room ready at least on time."
