The room and Inn were beautiful, one of the nicest places we have ever stayed. The staff was so helpful and accommodating. The food at the in. was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend as a must day property!

I was there over the Fourth of July. Except when the restaurant was open there were virtually no staff to help. One could have just walked in and stolen quite a few things. I was trying to find someone who might help get bfast but I could only find 2 Brazilians housekeepers who did not speak any English. They were delightful and tried to help me and connect me with somebody. I thought it was their supervisor on the phone, but that person also did not speak English. There also was no phone in the room and it took me a little bit to realize that there wasn’t supposed to be a phone that most likely one was to use their cell phone to contact someone. But this was never once explained to me when I checked in nor was I given any number to call so I was somewhat confused. The layout of the public spaces on the first floor is very poorly designed. You end up with kitchen staff, restaurant servers, bartenders and guests tripping over each other during the dinner hour. Of course there’s no one there during the rest of the day so the problem is only at dinner. The dinner itself was OK. The Bayonne ham was amazing and the Sunday was a religious experience. But the chicken and steak frites were merely average. They’ve trained the staff to always say, of course, after you interact with them. It gets to be a little annoying after a while, and there are plenty of other things they could say like certainly, my pleasure, etc. it doesn’t have to be, of course,all the time Stockton lot bet
