"The last time we stayed at this hotel was over 20 years ago and we always had fond memories and loved the location. We were pleasantly surprised to see that the rooms have undergone a recent renovation and have a very nice, welcoming and cosy vibe. It's updated without resorting to hard grey laminate floors everywhere that's the trend these days (makes me feel like I'm staying in an office or empty museum: cold and harsh sound). This room wasn't large and yet didn't feel cramped at all. Just about perfect really. The only caveat worth mentioning is that we had a corner room overlooking State Street on one side, and the noise from the nearby bars was occasionally pretty loud. It doesn't let up until 2:00 am. I kinda enjoyed it, but I didn't have anywhere to rush off to the next day. If you know noise will prevent you from getting a good night sleep, just be sure to avoid the State Street facing rooms."

"The king/bunk family room was perfect for my group of 3 girls to stay in. AC worked well. Fan was a little noisy at night. I liked that there was a sliding door that could be used to separate the bunk from main room. There's also a small fridge and microwave. Paid parking lot next door was super convenient. Loved the easy online check in and mobile key. Property is cool...lots of communal outdoor space and games/activities to play with your friends. Only downside is no elevator which is normal for this type of property. It was only difficult for my friend that had a broken foot to go up and down the stairs. Would stay again though. The location is amazing."
