“Really nice, great value hotel adjoining a lovely bar/restaurant”

“Unfortunately this hotel has become a haven for dog owners which is ok if you own a dog. The room we got allocated on arrival smelled of wet dog and I immediately went to reception to get a change of room. We got a new room which was slightly better but every floor had dogs staying in rooms. Unfortunately although I have owned dogs in the past it isn’t for me and will not be staying again.”

“Delicious breakfast, very friendly helpful staff. Comfy bed, great shower”

“Nice friendly reception staff, lovely clean room with a safe, iron and iron board, refreshments available. Pool, jacuzzi and sauna very well kept, lovely bar service nice and friendly and food was lovely. Comfy bed and soft pillows. We had a lovely full English breakfast in the morning where you could help yourself to whatever you wanted, we would definitely stay here again, nice and relaxing overnight stay.”

“I have a very soft spot for this marvellous hotel. Best big hotel breakfast I ever have and totally reliable”

“The only hotel that charge for parking £13.50 per night. No internet available. Expedia failed to inform of parking charges. Expedia not returned email with a request of a vat receipt. The only time Expedia get in touch is when they want a review.”

“Not bad but should make it clearer it literally overlooks the M4 and therefore expect continual emergency services travelling the route all night”

“The wifi was down the entire stay, very disappointed.”

“This place had the best breakfast I had in my entire trip. Cooked to order and it was just fantastic. The building seems to be very old and even spooky, but overall the stay was pretty good.”

“very clean and kind”

“We had a great stay at the priory, room was a perfect size, I enjoyed a soak in the beautiful claw foot bath. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend and look forward to staying there again”

“staff very helpful, spa and gym a great addition Breakfast, if not booked at time of booking or check in was very expensive but in line with hotel pricing. Very close to mermaid quay where other great options were available. Parking - expensive due to location but an oversight on my part not checking this before booking. Wont put me off staying again however as hotel was exceptional with cracking views of the Bay”
