"Photos are misleading unless you get the ocean front rooms. Any basic rooms are old, outdated, & down the street, across the road, & up a steep hill. Even most of the newer rooms are across the road from the beach. The resort is spread out across 3 separate buildings so groups will likely be split up as ours was. Left early as our room was so uncomfortable, noisy, & lacking in amenities. Pool area lacks shade & adequate seating; it’s also super slippery and our group had more than one fall injury. Bathroom is also super slippery when wet & shower gets the entire room wet. Sadly was a disappointment. For the price, I’d recommend another resort in the area."

"Overall this is a nice hotel. The views are really nice as the hotel hugs the cliffs around shark bay. This means going up and down the hill and there are many steps etc. This was fine for me. We had one of the new private pool rooms which was very modern and nice. The older parts of the hotel do show the age a bit. The staff were nice but we had trouble getting more water on our last day. The breakfast was ok, I can only say it was not as good as other similar hotels. The hotel is not close to the main drag so a 400 baht taxi is needed. This was not a big problem for us just an FYI. The hotel is advertised as a 5 star hotel on Expedia but it's not its a 4 star. Overall I was happy with the hotel. Its got great views which is was i wanted. The room we had was very large and modern. It really depends what you're after. "

"Good breakfast. Staff very friendly. Big room, but we only had hot water the first day, next night only cold water in the shower. The last night no water at all!! This was not ok."

"We stayed in the room with the pool. This room needed some maintenance. Staff in the hotel is very friendly, especially towards children. It was a bit difficult to get around with the stroller because of sand and hills."

"We had an amazing stay at the hotel. Staff is amazing. Views from the hotel are great. There was some dirt in the pool, maybe some filters should be installed. The restaurant is a bit outdated. "

"Nice staff, happy atmosphere, feels like it had a lot more services years ago, so feels like it's half used... that said it's not trying to be anything it isn't, rooms clean, bed comfortable and sheets and towels cleaned everyday and location just off main road help with noise levels "

"Property in need of updating. This could be a really great place as it has so much potential. The pool sunbeds are so heavy you can’t move them and the sunlounger cushions are ripped and dirty. The pool was clean and it is a shame because replacing all the sun lounger cushions and the cushions outside the room on the balcony would make the place feel more looked after instead of shabby. The room was clean and the beds were really comfortable. The shower is not seperate so the whole bathroom gets wet and slippy. Breakfast there was only 3 options to choose from. No breakfast station or options to get up and choose yourself. Location is good. "

"Superb villa with a great layput, spacious and well appointed with 3 overhead fans (bedroom, living area and outside seating areas). Staff very helpful, even let us in 2hrs ahead of check in time. Great decks below villas for snorkeling- swam with 2 Black Tip Reef Sharks whilst down... 1 adult about 5ft and one ypungster about 3 ft... amazing"
