โNightly rate was comparable to the motel 6 and super 8 close by; however, what sets this place apart from those other motels is that as a single woman I actually felt safe here. I felt safe parking my car here and getting a good nights rest. The cleanliness is far better than I expected and aside from the location right off a busy street itโs peaceful and quiet.โ
โI booked 2 rooms smoking room and the motel upgraded me 2 beautiful rooms. One of the rooms was spacious with Fire tv. My 2nd room was nice as well. That room was smaller and it had cable. The cable had gone out and I called the night manager. She fixed my cable with 10 minutes. Overall, the staff was great!โ
โI have been staying at Villa Serena for my weekend visits for three consecutive summers (I would rather stay here than at my friend's place - it's quiet!) โ
โThe staff is there for you, pleasantries for all! They recognize your loyalty when it counts, being fussed over isn't that important to me, just nice in rare occasions they are there when you need them.โ
โThis was a last-minute booking for us, as the hotel is one of two close to our daughter's home and the original accommodations for our visit fell through. What a great find! The room was quite satisfactory, clean, well- maintained, convenient, and reasonably priced (considering the cost of hotels in the San Diego area). Staff were helpful, pleasant, and patient. We would stay again by choice should the opportunity arise. โ
