This is truly a "Hidden Gem". My wife and I booked this for a long-weekend getaway not too far from our home in the SF East Bay. The website looked promising and it had been a long time since either of us had been to the Clearlake area so it was somewhat of a "shot-in-the-dark". To say it exceeded our expectations is an understatement. The Hotel is immaculate, the grounds are well maintained, the service was prompt, efficient and friendly and the weekend breakfast was delicious. It is perfect for a place to simply get away and relax. It is right next door to the Blue Wings Saloon (and restaurant) where we ate 2 of the 3 nights we stayed there. The live musicians on the weekend were great and the outdoor patio setting (mid-September) was warm and very pleasant. And if you're looking for a little more action - the Robinson Rancheria Resort & Casino is about a mile away (which was also well maintained, low key and fun). Well worth the trip

Wonderful hotel, beautifully restored. The service was top notch. We couldn’t get a reservation at Blue Wings Saloon nearby for Valentine’s Day, and the owner / manager made it happen for us - which was a welcome treat after a long day of travel. Will definitely stay again, here or at any other property of this group.

This hotel is my safe space. The rooms are sound proof and well appointed, and the lower garden rooms with the ofuro soaking tubs are the most relaxing thing in Lake county.

Fantastic hotel, rooms very smart and unique, one of the best hotels we stayed in during our 3 weeks tour of California. Lovely balcony to sit and have a drink, restaurant next door had a good menu, live music and great serving/waitresses.

My wife and I stayed at the Tallman for our anniversary. The room was beautiful and very comfortable. We sat out on the veranda and listen to the live music from the restaurant next door. It was a lovely stay!

This is a very cool hotel with a great staff. The room was really clean and comfortable with a terrific balcony overlooking the restaurant's courtyard. There are other options to stay at in the area, but if you are looking for a very nice, comfortable and unique experience, I can't think any other place even comes close to this.
