One of the best motels in town with unbeatable prices I’ve been coming here for the last 10 years, and it always feels like home. The rooms are spotless, beautifully designed, and have a charming romantic vibe especially the cozy wooden-themed rooms. I absolutely love the unique decor and warm atmosphere!
My stay at Toiyabe Motel was lovely! The room was adorable, very clean, and quiet. The price was much cheaper compared to other places in the area. I’m very happy with my stay and will definitely come back
Nice little roadside motel. Small room but comfortable. There was something mechanical on the roof that made a light banging noise when the wind blew but not really enough to keep me awake. Dog friendly.
Conveniently placed for access to the Eastern Sierras. Simple room with all you need. Clean everywhere except under the bed (some trash left from previous people). Weird checkin process, employee didn’t speak English but we worked it out with Google Translate, and had to text my name on his phone to his manager; worked but weird. Food is minimum 30 min away, so bring food with you. And heater was temperamental. It’s quiet at least.
We really enjoyed staying at this motel.
The room was very cozy, clean, and comfortable for our stay 🙌
The staff was very friendly and welcoming, which made us feel at home. The location is great — quiet, peaceful, and surrounded by beautiful nature
There are nice barbecue areas on the property with mountain views, and at night you can see an amazing starry sky
We would definitely come back and stay at Toiyabe Motel again :)
Rural small town east Sierra. I slept well, the air conditioner rumbled me to sleep...
It was pretty clean with the hair in the tub drain the only noticeable thing.
I needed a hotel between Tahoe and Mammoth for the night that wouldn’t break the bank. This motel more than delivered. Nice room and very reasonable price.
The rooms DO NOT have A/C. They have very small swamp coolers. We couldnt cool off the room at all, 80 plus degrees all day and into tbe evenings. The towels had hair in them. The bed had the smell of a disinfectant! We booked 3 nights, left after the first night. Talked to the manager and explained we needed to leave due to the conditions. He said he understood and would refund my final day but not day 2, I agreed, we just wanted out! My refund hit my bank and it was HALF of what was promised. Do not stay here. Its miserable!
While the place was clean, and the bedsheets were clean and free of bedbugs, place was a dump and right on the highway, and I could hear both the highway and the drip, drip drip of the next room’s air conditioning unit and I didn’t even turn on mine because it was so making old looking
The heater was bad. The wall heater took forever to get the heat up. The bedsheets were dirty and the bedding had a lot of dust on it. The ventilation was bad and coughed out dust when turned on.
Old time hotel things are only like twelve units. Parked right in front of the room. The heaters were wall heaters. It was like a blast from the seventies, but I really enjoyed it as the properties and a beautiful part of the country. Made me almost feel like I was a kid again. Remembering my vacations with my parents. Help me enjoy my time with the special friend

Ok stay.
Room was very crowded for two queen beds. No AC, just cooler and wall heater. No table, no chairs. For the price paid, i expected more. Clean. Had hot water.
3 night stay, 10/20-10/23/2024.
First of all...I've been staying here or 50 years. It's a small motor lodge, nothing fancy. So I didn't expect the Mark Hopkins. Since my last stay ownership changed....Sadly not for the better.
1) The gas wall heater would not light. Staff had zero idea of how to get it started and brought me an electric heater for the night (expected temp was to be in the low '30s). The heater kicked off the breaker everytime it kicked on. No one returned to light the regular heater.
2) Later that night a knock came on the door. Staff member came to the door telling me my card had been declined and I must come to the office. After the back and forth they realized they goofed and I used a different card. I told them I was concerned about being double charged. Guess what.... I was double charged.
3) On my last day staff came to door at 4:30 in the afternoon to replace shower curtain. I was gone all day but I guess disturbing me was more convenient for them.
4) The staff member who replaced the shower curtain could stand an introduction to soap and deodreant. Had to open windows and turn on fan to clear the aroma.
5) The grounds used to be beautiful with flowers, lawns, trees, etc. Not now...... The are weeds 2 feet high everywhere. Garbage cans overflowing.
6) I could go on but I believe you get the point. It might help if onsite staff spoke English and the owners were onsite and not on the cellphone calling from who knows where.
