โThe setting of the Westcliff Lodge was absolutely beautiful with it being on the river and the beautiful flowers and the trail behind the property. We throughly enjoyed our visit.
The room with the picture window and the amenities was great. I would definitely recommend to others and if I am back in the area, I would definitely stay there again.โ
โOur 2nd time here. Everything was updated, very clean, and very friendly staff. View is spectacular. WAY nicer than Skamania Lodge across the river and not nearly as expensive. Weโll be staying here again. โ
โInteresting experience. There is no on-site staff, but the building is in excellent (restored) condition. You let yourself in with the door code and then youโre on your own.
The on-site restaurant is not operating, so we drove a couple miles for dinner. We made breakfast from what was on site.
Thankfully there was no noise from the railroad outside.

โCaveat: this is a traveller's rest-type motel. Zero frills, just a comfortable secure room with a comfortable bed and working shower. No monogrammed 1000 thread count sheets, no turn down service, just evidence of pride of ownership and recent renovation. I will absolutely stay here again. The "town" is a truck stop, but this is a great place to catch up on sleep. โ
โThe owner/manager of Columbia Gorge Inn went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and feel at home. He even let use his washing machine and dryer to wash our dirty hiking clothes. Highly recommend!โ
โI donโt see how anyone could possibly say anything negative about this wonderful motel. Everything was absolutely clean and our room appeared to have everything newly remodeled. We actually had two separate rooms with the door that closes for two people to have total privacy. Our space was incredibly spacious and felt a great deal more like an apartment than a hotel room. โWe have stayed at quite a few motels during our Canadian/US roadtrip and this motel is right up there as one of our favourites. The rooms were clean and tidy, after a long days drive we were happy to order a freshly made pizza with some cool drinks and sit on the patio and enjoy the view over the river. A really special little gem.โ
โThe room was clean and bed comfortable. We walked everywhere, which was cool and convenient. We went to the farmers market and the Neon Museum (highly recommended!). Cute town and fun little coffee shops to visit. Overall a pleasant stay and reasonably priced compared to other places. It's an easy jaunt over to Hood River or down to Kee-Ne-Tah. โThis is such a delightful departure from just a "hotel or motel" on one's journey. In fact, despite it's rural location, it is truly a destination. There are not word to describe how lovely this property is and how robust an experience one can enjoy here. Do yourself a favor and do not book a cookie cut-out accommodation, book here and enjoy the kind hospitality, the serene surroundings and the added amenities of spa services. We absolutely loved it and can't wait to go back!โ
"The location is excellent. Overall, the staff are friendly. The rooms are spacious and decent, but they do not meet the high-end quality I imagined when booking. It's an average hotel, but it has a few drawbacks.
Firstly, it was listed as offering free breakfast, but instead of an actual free breakfast, they provide a credit that can be used like a voucher for the total amount. The breakfast itself is not great for the price, so it doesnโt seem worth selecting. Additionally, there is no bathtub in the bathroom, which is a disappointing omission.
The tap water is also quite murky. They claim itโs mineral water, but it just looks dirty. Being sensitive, I also experienced minor skin irritation after using the water.
The pool and fitness center are somewhat small but usable. This hotel is $40โ50 more expensive than others, and I booked it for the pool and breakfast as its advantages, but they werenโt particularly necessary, as the experience is ultimately similar to other hotels.
It wasnโt a bad experience, but Iโll likely try other hotels next time."
