"We had a fantastic stay at Miners Cottage for one night while attending the Eden Sessions. It was absolutely perfect for the four of us. "The staff were so welcoming, the restaurant staff were very helpful arranging suitable meals with the chef for my partner who has dietary requirements. Our room was excellent along with the spa, we had a very enjoyable 6 night stay and hope that we will be able to return in the not too distant future."

"Beautiful old world building with lovely rooms, bar the bathroom being upstairs. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was good especially the breakfast. Very disappointed that they had a special curry and pint offer where you couldn't have and alternative drink and when we ordered the curry anyway we were charged £20 without the beer wheras it was £15 with the beer!"

We also like that management staff are visible, accessible and approachable. The hotel itself is extremely clean and well appointed, the Spa is excellent with a wide variety of treatments. I can highly recommend this hotel."

"A welcoming homely hotel a short distance from rail/bus station and local amenities. Our room was clean and made up daily. A leak found in the bathroom was quickly repaired and the management were extremely efficient and apologetic. All staff were friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The bar is great and frequented by both locals and hotel guests and the food is superb! Unfortunately, due to sudden illness, a visit to A&E was required on our third night and I commend the hotel staff and management for their concern and assistance during and after the event. We will definitely book again."

"The cobblestone parking was slightly challenging, and we weren’t expecting to be in a separate building from the inn, but the room was very comfortable and the large window had a great view which brightened up the space. The location was perfect, and the staff was pleasant and helpful. We appreciated that breakfast was included."

"Very comfortable room, nice clean bathroom. The walls are a bit thin though so we could hear other neighbours, although everyone was asleep at night so no problem to sleep at all. The location of the hotel is great, it is a bit out of the town, in the middle of the valley. The garden is amazing and you can walk to the well a bit far down and to the town itself. The breakfast was very generous and varied."
