Only complaint - TV did not get even half the channels listed as available. Otherwise it was all as anticipated: comfortable sleep, adequate space, friendly atmosphere. Very good for quick overnight stay.

old motel that is good value and very clean

this is an older motel that is very clean and taken care of. easy check in and check out not to far off the interstate and was in a quiet area

My stay

I booked online but when I checked in, they had no knowledge of my reservation. I was given a room with no problems. Although the room had a room heater, it was freezing. The room was clean and decor was relaxing. I felt at home. I did buy a heater to heat the room up. It got too stuffy and I turned on the ceiling fan. It was really wobbly, not secure into ceiling. Hot water ran cold but got really hot. Did discover a dead mouse. All in All, I had a relaxing night and slept great! I will be returning again.

What a great stay!

The hillside cottages are very cozy and conveniently located off the main street in Missouri Valley, IA. The owners live in the home located in the center of the property, and the motel rooms are in an L-shape surrounding this. The rooms are clean and cozy, and remind me of a "1950's roadside inn" layout. Staff are wonderful and friendly! The rooms are snug but provide everything you need. There is also a laundry room with coffee located on the first floor of the main house.

This older motel is adjacent to a very busy state highway with car and truck traffic 24/7. The hosts are nice and helpful. The rooms are clean and cozy.

Arrived late but was greeted right away. Check in was simple. The room (Paris theme!) was clean and comfy. Only real issue was that the hot water spigot in the shower leaked, so that scalding hot water ran down the wall and covered a portion of the floor. Also made the knob too hot to turn without a washrag over it.

Quaint and quiet!

Quaint, themed rooms...really cool! Staff is very friendly. Wonderful small town...very relaxing. We will go back! Eat at the Pink Poodle in Crescent! Best prime rib in the world for only $25!
