“Jodie is a friendly, hospitable host. Their family property is a beautiful, comfortable establishment. It is quiet, incredibly clean and well kept. The morning breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend for anyone to stay at Craigellachie. If you are wanting an evening meal, go down the hill to the pub. Also delicious and very affordable.

“Friendly and welcoming staff. Unexpected room upgrade upon arrival which was wonderful. If you want charm in a beautiful Highlands locale along the whisky trail, this is it. Dinner was incredibly delicious in the hotel's dining room. Their chef is out of this world. Bar has every whisky known to man ... kidding of course, but they are well stocked and knowledgeable. “We visited during a heatwave. Hotel only 2 minutes from a beautiful sandy beaches. Went there every morning and evenings during our two nights stay. It is a traditional Scottish hotel so unfortunately did not have air-conditioning, but we didn't expect to have that, and it did not effect our enjoyment. Room was well equipped, with coffee pods etc, and kettle. Large 42 inch tv. Staff very friendly. ”

“We stayed three nights at the Hotel Square in Tomintoul. Although this is an older facility which could use a few updates to rugs, curtains, etc., we were very happy there. The hotel is clean, beds are super comfortable and the rooms are large and supplied with everything we needed. Breakfast was very good! Most importantly, the staff was friendly and helpful, providing great service. We had a lovely stay!”
