โThis was a last-minute booking for us, as the hotel is one of two close to our daughter's home and the original accommodations for our visit fell through. What a great find! The room was quite satisfactory, clean, well- maintained, convenient, and reasonably priced (considering the cost of hotels in the San Diego area). Staff were helpful, pleasant, and patient. We would stay again by choice should the opportunity arise. โ
โI was in view of golf course room. But, they put me upstairs facing the dirt driving range. Quiet and very peaceful. Air conditioner works great!!โ
โThe Valley Motel in El Cajon CA is about 15 miles East from downtown San Diego. It's been around forever and the structure shows it but for the cheaper price I'm in! There is parking around back and out of sight, a gas station on the same lot and a liquor store adjacent to the motel as well as a drive through Mexican fast food restaurant across the street from where you will stay. There are so many coats of paint that you can't be certain what the main color is but, it works well for insulation...
โHad travel a bit for other sorts of entertainment.. I didn't like the roads leading to the property ,I thought it was easier access.. enjoy the amenities while I was thereโ
โNightly rate was comparable to the motel 6 and super 8 close by; however, what sets this place apart from those other motels is that as a single woman I actually felt safe here. I felt safe parking my car here and getting a good nights rest. The cleanliness is far better than I expected and aside from the location right off a busy street itโs peaceful and quiet.โ
โI have been staying at Villa Serena for my weekend visits for three consecutive summers (I would rather stay here than at my friend's place - it's quiet!) โ
